---Try and use Rare (Mythic Rare) cards only; it can be from any set though (ie. Sol Ring in most sets is Uncommon, but From The Vault it is a Mythic Rare). No infinite combo’s.---This deck has many win-con’s (ie. Mill, Switch Life and Swing, Creature Damage, Sword of Ages while creating tokens to burn with Helm of the Host, etc). I often find a new way to win, each time I play with this deck.
Some people have asked why put Chromatic Lantern in this deck (other mono-colored deck's I've built); reasoning below----Similar to Cloud Key in that it is a (3) drop, that can assist with (1) mana (but you have to choose the category; ie. Creature). Chromatic Lantern however drops for (3) and can be tapped for any mana (without picking a category), and would also provide the chance to tap Dark Depths or Maze of Ith for mana as well.---Some opponents cards require you to tap their color mana, to avoid a detriment (ie. Norn’s Annex).I honestly think Chromatic Lantern is a staple in most decks. Making all non-basic lands (which I/other people typically use a lot of) tap for any color mana, is a great ability (even in mono-colored decks); this is especially true after the removal of Rule #4.
