Deck Description

Deck based around Omnath. Use the elves for fast mana to make him more powerful, and Quest for Renewal, to go even faster. The Whispersilk Cloak and Canopy Cover will protect him from your opponent. Gilt-Leaf Archdruid can really mess with what the other guy is trying to set up, and Joraga and Helix both serve as alternative win con's.

Deck discussion for The Jolly Green Omnath

Low chance to draw a forest.
But nice deck -- love the idea. I was gonna make a deck like this, but I felt too lazy.
GJ!

You could also add Overgrowth. Enchant a Forest, tap it for mana, then untap it with Arbor.

I'd say four Fyndhorn Elves and four Land Grant would just about do it. Personally, I'd ditch the Overrun, Whispersilk Cloak, and Canopy Cover for a playset of each, and possible Biorhythm.

yeah, after thinking on it Overrun wouldn't benefit the deck as much as the other cards. Nice call on that, thanks

Love it. I have 4 Omnath's in my green deck and i just love him, except i combo him with Oracle of Mul Daya and Vernal Bloom to sup the shit outta him, although your method would work even better. The only thing i could critique would be the low land count.
Great card, and really nice deck.

it looks like statistically I should draw a forest every opening hand, and if that doesn't happen a mulligan should get me one for sure, provided my math isnt completely out of whack. The one-drop elves / birds potentially could get me started from there... I haven't had the chance to play the deck yet, but am curious to see how it turns out.

dude 12 land is nowhere near enough, remember that if you do get 1 land, you don't always get the essential mana producing creatures as well. it may work sometimes, but definitely not consistently enough to be viable. Run between 18 and 22 land. No magic deck runs as little land as this, unless it's a vintage moxen deck, but thats a different story altogehter.

Turns out 12 was not enough... I went up to 14 and changed the deck altogether; very consistent. CHeck it out, my now dubbed "Infinite Power Elf Druids" deck. Took Omnath out completely...
