Deck Description

This is a mono Green deck that uses Lotus Cobra and Arbor Elves to unleash as many Baloths as possible early on and then things like the Oracle and Evolving Wilds to ensure they are constantly pumped with multiple lands. Also looking to smash everything on the board and the opposing player using an Overwhelming Stampede or Garruk's finisher.

Edit: found that I very quickly ran out of cards to play so have added Momentous Fall to create card draw as a response to any removal and also put in two Vorapede that work well as targets for it.

Deck discussion for Crash n' Smash

My friend had a deck similiar to this when Zendikar came out and it was a freakin' powerhouse. The deck is obviusly Landfall so you can pull out lands pretty quick but the way this deck is set up, it looks like your almost completely relying on Baloth Woodcrasher. Also, because you will be throwing out land, I suggest taking out the Elvish Piper and Putting in some Lotus Cobra. If i did my math right, it should be faster than using the Piper. I also suggest using a combonation of Territorial Baloth and Rampaging Baloths; both great cards.

Cheers, I'm going to look those up now :) I was finding that the Piper was the stumbling block as it is either too slow to come out or when it does it's either bolted or doom bladed. Thanks

.....as much as I'd like it to my budget can't really stretch to 3 Lotus Cobra's :( instead I thought I'd try Devoted Druid as a mana increase card, do you think that will help? Liked Rampaging Baloth however and have two on order.

As a less mana-expensive and more recent alternative to Elvish Piper, may I suggest Fauna Shaman? It may only get a card from your deck to your hand, and require you to discard a creature to do so, but that does mean that with it out on the table you can switch a creature in your hand you don't need for one you do need.

get rid of Nourish and add more baloths add overwhelming stampede instead of overrun, you can do way more damage with that especially if your baloth woodcrasher is pumped. overall, its way better either way
as the guy above me said, add lotus cobras for sure, if you cant buy them definitly trade something for them
overall a really good deck though =]

Nice cards here. I think that a few cards that could be great in here are Azusa, Lost But Seeking, which lets you play up to three lands per turn, or Omnath, Locus of Mana, Green Sun's Zenith, and Lead the Stampede to help you find creatures. For me personally, Elvish Archdruid has been a miracle worker in getting me mana when I need it, plus it makes other Elves stronger for a CMC of 3 to summon it. Good luck with your green deck, and if it works out, I'd appreciate a little help with my elf deck as well. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=165850
