Deck discussion for first vamp deck give tips

hey dude, first things first, you have waaay to many single spells in your deck. if its been 3 or 4 years since you've played, you should be winning turn 7 at the latest, maybe turn 9 with a blue control deck. i'm brand new to magic as of 3 months ago. but i've played enough people and have built decks to actually place 4th in local free tournaments. thats running only a few expensive cards. secondly you want to run 60 and only 60 cards 20 or 22 mana is good, its all on you. have fun :)

yeah i see on the single spell thing just a semi control blk deck as 4 the non vampire cards dont have many vampire cards so that what conspriacy was for to turn all other creature to vampire and use kalastria high born + Vampire aristocrat sac ablitity and conspriacy+deathspore thailld token abiltity thhought that was pretty kool combo but i thnaks u for the advice

i agree. waaaaaaaaay too many singles. also too many non-vampire cards. vampires like to work with other vampires. not anything else.
here is an example (i dont really like all the cards in this deck either but it is much better constructed)

get rid of all non vampires and i would get rid of Ravenous Vampire as well. try some vampire nocturnus and definately vampire nighthawk. some butcher of malakir wouldnt hurt. some other good vamps to consider are: vampire hexmage, malakir bloodwitch, guul draz assassin, guul draz vampire, and quag vampire. also some good legendaries would be anowon the ruin sage, drana, kalastria bloodchief, and kalitas, bloodchief of ghet. as for spells id keep doom blade, hideous end, disfigure, Urge to Feed, and maby a virulent swipe for sideboard. definately should put in some sanguine bonds and blood tributes. and for artifacts, blade of the bloodchief and basilisk collar work wonders.
i run a vampire deck in some local tournaments and it seems to do quite nicely

also another thing to add if you dont care about T2 is mephidross vampire if u hav 2 run non-vamps
it turns all your non-vamps into them and then helps beef them all up

I have to agree with these guys. Single spells just make it to hard to pull those cards. You end up relying to much on luck. The last guy gave you a really good list of vampires to add. I would also think about Vampire Nocturnus, just wait and make sure they are gonna have him in M11 to keep him legal for T2. Here's a link for my vampire deck.

everyone has there own idea of how a vamp deck should work of will work, i run my vamp deck to combo off of itself so your continuously losing life. here is my vamp deck, this deck is also made from around 80 dollars, i did alot of trading to get these cards so i didn't have to pay full price for any of em.

Yeah man, your on a good track with the cards but like everyone else said, put a lot more vampire related cards in there and a lot more creatures to help vampires like put 4x Captivating Vampire in there and 4x Vampire Nighthawk and also get some feast of blood and blade of bloodchief. When you got those, then just fine other vampires to go with them there is so many, find the vampires that work for you and you could use there are so many vampires to choose from, like myself i took out a lot of great vampires because they didnt fit my deck. But make sure you have captivating vampire and vampire night hawk 4 of each and work off that. Put up your improved one and i will comment on that one! Also take out ALL doom blades and Terrors and other kill cards, the ONLY kill cards you are going to want in there are kill cards that help vampires like Urge to Feed and Feast of Blood!

okay i did not read ALL the other comments so bare with me if i repeat. First, to many singles and to all over the place. Yes vampires are vampires, but its still a broad spectrum. you need to focus a little more. also, there is never a reason not to throw in lilianas caress an nirkana cut throat they are just amazing for their price. decide exactly what you want this deck to do then get rid of the cards that dont help accomplish tht.

just to note here. you defeneadly don't want to play sorcery speed target kill spells. 3 doom blades and 2-3 go for the throat is damn good combination ad urge to feed is 2-3 copies. I must say that you people are odd, no one mentioned gatekeepper of malakir!!! One of the best vampires ever printed. Also if you want to play casual I'd say shriekmaw is an awsome card with the blade of bloodcheaf. Since it's 2 mana kill target non-black creature and get +4/+4 to equiped vampire PERMANENTLY!!! the synergy you can get into casual vampires are awsome!! also I suggest splash red or blue to the deck since it has interesting flavour to the game play and you can get dual lands. Blue offers creeping tar pits and counter magic, red othervice offers you burn spells to deal damage to the player and works like kill spells. Surely you know the might of man-lands, best lands ever printed
