A deck that revolves around drawing more cards. Pretty simple really, I like the advantage that card excel gives especially if you have cards to take advantage of the excess draws.
I needed a heavy control aspect to the deck because of the speed (or lack there of) of the deck. I usually like to 1 drop a draw spell like ponder or brainstorm in order to set up the next few draws you'll be getting plus getting that card advantage started. Good 2 drops are fog bank or isochron scepter. I've found it is pretty circumstantial which to choose if you're pondering for them. Aggro decks with have a piss fit if you drop a fog bank until they get a larger creature base, and spell/combo based decks don't like having a perma counter spell up as early as turn 3. Isochron is also a good decision just for flexibility just because you can throw either a counterspell or draw spell under it (if you're willing to drop 2 mana every turn for the draws, which I very much am).As for 3 drops I will always throw a propaganda before a wall of frost. It cuts out the possibility of being swarmed and the combo with fog bank will make aggro decks cry (I had one guy rage quit) since they are not usually packing very much removal. Psychosis Crawler is the main beater just because of the niffty ability to hurt opponents with drawing. Consecrated sphinx and sturmgeist are also very good options especially since they also accelerate your drawing. I have an elixir in the deck just to avoid the concerns around self milling although I usually drop and tap in the same turn with it in order to give the enemy as little time as possible to destroy it if they're packing removal. It can be pretty terrifying having a mind unbound chipping away every upkeep when your opponent scraped the elixir. Even with 75 cards the deck can seem to slip away quite quickly. That brings me to the last part. I did put 75 cards in the deck because with all the card accel it doesn't seem to impact the flow negatively and it allows for more variation in the cards drawn. Since it it not uncommon for me to draw most if not all of the deck, having flexibility in card draw is very useful. Edit* The sideboard for the deck will need to be more developed over time and through much play testing. In fact I think i'm just going to delete what I have in the sideboard until later

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT COMMENT.
Anyway, here a breakdown of the defender deck:Offensive: Angelic and Vent Sentinel. Defense: Hehehe, really? There's no way this could get MORE expensive. I might add that 3 CMC exalted Defender. So ... the instants, sorceries, artifacts, and enchantments. Those are what you want to dump mana into.So let's think ... mana ramp is green, so green defenders are a good choice. Then you can pump into Colossus of Akros, or even Entreat the angels. Then ... exalted would be nice, if you choose Colossus of Akros. If Entreat the Angels is preferable, Brave the Elements, Fortify, and Entreat the Angels are good. I will go with Colossus, since I have made 4 angels decks and want to liven things up. Also, Entreat the Angels is much cheaper.
Is this in relation to this deck or the red/white defender deck?
Yup..Alternatively, you could run Aurelia and Sublime Archangel. Heck, maybe even Gisela.
I kinda want to give you the honor of making a defender deck ...
