Deck Description

thoughts?

turn 3 win.

1: land (possible enlightened tutor for isochron or sundial)
2: land- dark rit- isochron scepter imprinting final fortune, and sundial
3: land- use abilities, have fun winning.

How to Play

sundial+isochron scepter+final fortune = infinite turns.
sundial+eater of days = 9/8 trample flying for five mana.
sundial +mimic vat(in SB)+anything dead = cheap creatures that don't get sacrificed.
sundial+flickerwisp = the permanent stays exiled.
sundial+sudden disappearance=exile all of a players permanents

silence(in SB for control decks) is in here to both screw with an opponent, but more importantly to counter counterspells. Ex: an opponent has one cancel, which he/she is planning to use on a sundial that you are going to cast, instead, you can cast silence first, then it either resolves, and they can't play their cancel, or they have to cancel the silence, and the sundial. silence can also be used on isochron scepter.

leonin abunas is there to save your stuff from naturalize and the like.

tutor for all the things.

Deck discussion for Sundial of the 3-Turn-Win(BW)

Well, that's how you play Sundial folks.
Good job abusing it.

BTW Orim's Chant > Silence

thank you very much. and especially for the suggestiong with Orim's chant, the only reason that I'm not putting it in here is because it cost to much money for my tastes, and it is "target player" instead of "opponents" the point of silence in the deck is to make opponents not able to counter sundial, or anything else important, and maybe to slow them down slightly. do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks.

I'm afraid I don't. But this is a good thing, it's a really solid deck with several ways to win the game.
Maybe - and remember it's totally optional - you could consider replacing the spark elemental with his hellspark cousin.
Lightning Helix instead of galvanic blast is also an option.
Again, kudos to you sir.

hmmm... I didn't know about hellspark elemental. that would be a much better card for this deck. And I have been looking for another Lightning Helix (I already have one) because i have this OCD thing where with the decks that I play a lot, I have to have at least two of one card to put it in.

Again, thank you for the suggestion, and the kudos. ;)

I might suggest trying to protect your artifacts somehow, since this deck relies so heavily on them. Maybe a Darksteel Forge, or something that does the same thing or similar.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have thought about it, but I very rarely get enough mana in this deck to cast darksteel forge. I've been looking for a card to make artifacts have hexproof or shroud. do you have any suggestions?

I mean, you'd have to replace some creatures, but Fountain Watch, Indomitable Angel, and Leonin Abunas would be awesome for this deck. Or you could do some Apostle's Blessings which only cost one mana potentially. I love this deck though. Other than the lack of artifact protection, it's amazing.

It casts fot 5. 2 G/w G/W G/W its privileged position. It gives all of your permanents hexproof.

I would recommend having more of the Final Fortune style cards (i know there's at least one more) and (possibly?) Prototype Portal(s) to allow you to create additional Eater of Days/Sundial/Isochron Scepters

Also have you considered Leveler, its a similar card to Eater of Days, if you want other similar options

there are some cards similar to final fortune, the only problem is that they are sorceries, and as such not very useful. leveler does look interesting... but not trample, which is kind of key. prototype portal does look good, I didn't know about that card, I might think about finding some, but doesn't seem to add any more value besides copying eater of days.

Thank you very much for your suggestions though, do you have any more? I'm looking for some inexpensive tutors, and maybe some mana fixing options...

I think he may be referring to the "Pact" cards.

i was specifically referring to the other final fortunes, the pact cards are excellent as well though, beseech the queen perhaps as a tutor?

the other final fortunes are named warrior's oath and last chance, and are sorceries and are useless. but I have though about the pacts, they are interesting, but kind of expensive. still very good thoughts though.

i wouldn't say they're useless, they're just not as good as their instant version, and with sundial on the field could buy you a two mana extra turn to help you move towards the instant variant to get infinite turns

I tried this for a bit, and it ended up just being an extra turn with me waiting to get an isochron scepter, or I didn't even have the sundial, so I opted to go for the extra tutors.
