Thanks, I checked it out and it looks cool. I'm going to make some changes to my copy based on your build.

I know, didn't notice it came in tapped. Fixed it already.
Ashenmoor gouger. I was typing in a hurry and shortened the name.
I added the lotus bloom, but pact of negation wouldn't work because you would have to counter something which could destroy you hive mind or your opponent's pact of negation. If I am misunderstanding the card, please tell me how it actually works.
Looks like a strong modern Splinter Twin deck. I could use some advice for my Modern deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/jacobeg123/decks/they-copy-pact-they-not-pay/
I wasn't suggesting that I would equip Gouger, I just thought I would put it in to take advantage of my opponent's lack of creatures.
Reply to this comment with any suggestions for cards, and what I could replace. I am also free for sideboard suggestions.
I've played this deck several times, and I'm not switching Nighthawk in. There's enough creature hate already, which works much more efficiently than a deathtouch creature with no tap direct damage. If I were to put a creature in, I'd choose one with more power, assuming that my direct hitters would take care of the opponent's creatures. I'm saving the staff for my tap direct damagers. for 3 mana, you can easily do 4 damage a turn with no blockers to stop you, and along with an occasional Thunderous Wrath, direct damage from your spare tap damagers, and other burn effects, you can win the game fairly quickly. I may switch some of the more expensive threats (Hellkite, Archetype) for Ashenmoor Gouger, A 4/4 that cannot block (you won't need to block.)
I got this deck, only took one match to realize:Thornbite Staff + Deathtouch + Direct Damage Creature = Infinite Destroy Target Creature! (Tap, Kill, Untap, Repeat)Chandra's Spitfire + Thunderous Wrath + Shock + 2 Direct Damage Creatures = 22 Damage in One Blow!Your opponent isn't getting anywhere.
a 1 drop is a card whose converted mana cost is 1.
