Deck Description

Timmy's Wet Dream. Standard-legal as of Innistrad.

For the most part, it's a fairly simple deck. Ramp like nobody's business, drop the biggest creature you can, and then run over everything. Garruk is there because he's absolutely amazing in this deck, especially with his middle ability, he might as well read "2GG: Draw six cards".

Some of the choices seem a bit odd, for certain. Slagstorm is there both to clear out your Solemns and Viridians in case of an opponent who doesn't like to attack, and for dealing with the inevitable aggro deck that will otherwise cut you down before you can say "shallow mana curve".

Green Sun's Zenith probably doesn't strictly need a 4-of, but the sheer convenience of being able to fish out that Primeval, Thrun, or Huntmaster right when you need him is pretty damn nice. Dismember and Beast Within are removal, creature and non-creature, respectively. Inferno Titan is there to give Red something to contribute, but if you wanna replace him with something else, you could definitely do so.

Ridiculously expensive as a deck, but this is the "ideal", and it can definitely be cut down. Despite the high curve, between being able to fish out Primevals, and the sheer absurdity of the ramp in this deck (which, in Zendikar, ran four Overgrown Battlements, and hasn't unduly suffered for the switch) means you should probably be up and running by turn 4 or 5, with anything beyond that being time for you to roll over.

Your greatest weakness is deck that don't want you to reach turn 4 or 5, red and white, especially. Control doesn't hurt as much, as long as you're careful with your Thruns, and you can power right through a Mana Leak, but don't get cocky.
