I have several similar versions of this deck that I have been toying with. It is a fun mechanic to seance the big monsters and then Fling!... Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=306972 Here are some of the differences and why I chose them 1. add 4x Faithless Looting to populate you Grave Yard 2. +2 Seance 3. -4 Dawn Treader Elk , + 4x Viridian Emissary ... you can sac him to Fling or Demonmail and still get to grab a land. 4. -3 Silver Chase Fox, + 3x Acidic Slime... you get the enter the battlefield effects twice, plus you can sac him to Fling, with Silverchase you have to Sac him inorder to exile an enchantment . Most importanly add 4XMoldgraf Monstosity... once you Laithless Loot him to the graveyard, Seance him back then sac him to bring back two of his other good friends from the grave, like another Moldgraf, Hellkite Igniter or Slime... and they stay on the battlefield.
I have been trying to build a decent WG human deck and this is awesome, sideboard has answers to most decks. couple of questions : Who did you sub Thalia, with? Are you considdering main decking thaila after your FNM results?
rooftop storm? blacksun zenith
Good ole Manabarbs, very nice deck, should provide plenty of pain by the end of the game.
2x Griffin Rider 2x Griffin Sentinel 2x Peregrine Griffin 3x Assault Griffin 2x Silverclaw Griffin
I really like this deck and I am going copy your sideboard for GW deck I am working on. Maybe cut out the 2 True convictions, a badass card but expensive and I think you can get the job done with out it plus it would help get your mana production and mana curve more in line (71% W to 28% G). Your mana production is split 50-50 G-W .... For Deck name .. I dont know maybe a play on the city to the woods kind of relationship-- "Me and My Country Cousins"
Nice Zombies! 4 Undying Evil may be too much with all the undying effects already in your cards.
Undying evil is a great card, adding Invigorate- is clever, who cares how much life you give away when your opponent is dead from poison...
cards to replace: 1x Demonmail Hauberk 2x Galvanic Juggernaut 1x Mausoleum Guard 1x Skirsdag Flayer Elgaud Inquisitor 1x Disciple of Griselbrand 2x Death's Caress
Am I missing something or do u not need: 4x Grove of the Burnwillows, 4x Arid Mesa ??
Nice Starting point for a red deck, you might rethink Darksteel Forge, since you only have 2 other artifacts, maybe use an artifact creature or something else to support your red cards. Only having 3 total artifacts makes Slag Fiend kind of weak, and counter productive to use Buried Ruin as well. You might also rethink Cast Through Time and Mind Rot-- -- since you have gone with a red deck theme.
