Deck Description

I love a good gimmick. The point of this deck is to fully protect yourself and win without ever hurting your opponent. Enchantment/creature combos to build the ultimate over all defense. Elves for manna ramp, life gain, and creature defense. And Helix Pinnacle for a win condition other than harming your opponent. Can't we all just get along?

Deck discussion for World Peace

I use the Phyrexian Unlife, Melira, Sylvok Outcast combo. Added Sterling Grove and Asceticism to protect the combo, along with Platinum Angel to protect against mill and Iona, Shield of Emeria to stall out any mono colored decks. Norn's Annex was added to protect from aggro and force your opponent to suicide. Elves are used primarily for manna ramp and life gain, but I chose Fauna Shaman to search for the important combo/defense creatures like Melira for the main combo, or what ever you may need. Enlightened Tutor and Idyllic Tutor to search for any combo card your lacking at the time. Finally, Helix Pinnacle for your win condition, so as to avoid having to hurt any opponents. Maze of Ith is combined with Argothian Elder for the unlimited manna ramp for a quicker Pinnacle win or whatever. Hope someone enjoys this.

I side-boarded the Idyllic Tutors and increased the Sterling Groves from two to four. I want to get out two sterlings so that they protect each other and they effectively have a built in tutor anyway. I thought about dropping two of the Enlightened tutors but they allow me to search for artifacts as well, which comes in handy for the Norn's Annex and Platinum Angel.

I moved one Shackles and Iona, Shield of Emeria to the sideboard to make room for two Leyline of Sanctity. I only add Iona for her ability and with a nine cmc its a waste of a 7/7 angel since the entire point of this deck is NOT to hurt an opponent in any way. The Leylines would have been main decked at the start but I wasn't familiar with that card. The Leylines are great to protect against spells and effects that would target the player to force an indirect permanent sac or whatever. Hope someone out there checks this out and likes it. Thx for any suggestions people.

If life gain is an idea, look to Test of Endurance for an alternate win con. Its always a fun slide in, and Enlightened can dig for it.

Hope these ideas help. Should you get a chance, please take a look at my Mind Over Matter deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=145831 ). Any comments or suggestions you could offer would be much appreciated. If that deck doesn't suit your tastes, feel free to click on my name to see my full deck list. Thanks.

I like the twist you gave to the deck by winning with Helix Pinnacle. Also Maze of Ith really fits here, it's much more useful than Norn's Annex/Ghostly Prison, too bad price is an issue.
Really well done deck sir.
