Deck Description

A player at my local shop ran a deck very similar to this. The goal is to control the game (at least for the first few turns) with the many cheap silencing spells this deck contains. A full four silences means that this deck can set aggro decks back a huge push in their first few turns and can completely shut down a lot of storm decks as well. The render silents have exactly the same effect but for later in the game. Path to Exile is amazing removal with almost no drawback, since they rarely can use the extra land anyway. Skynight and Arresters are their to detain any creatures they do manage to commit to the board, and supreme verdict can mop up nicely once they're done. Meanwhile, your beaters like the skyknight, arrester, geist of saint traft, and eventually aetherling do the dirty work and kill them before they can even get on their feet.

The deck I saw played beautifully, and I'm really hoping to make this my own for some modern tournaments. I considered adding telepathy, largely because I love that card and knowing when they're going to get their cards cast is an invaluable resource in this deck. Other than that, Gitaxian Probe could be valuable as well. Only playtesting will tell.

I could really use help to make this deck even better!

Deck discussion for Turbo Silence (Modern)

Martial Law would be awesome for this deck since its detain. It's not too expensive price wise and CMC. You will for sure have four mana out and plenty of control to work with it anyways.
