The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

So Grixis is probably one of my favorite color combinations, and I'm really upset that it's probably the least played shard in every format--especially standard. Grixis control has been made a thing only be Olivia Voldaren, and that upsets me, because I don't even like Olivia--especially in a control shell. I think everyone is too quick to glance over the rising control power--Duskmantle Seer. The Seer is incredibly powerful, serving as a symmetrical dark confidant. Against midrange decks, the life-loss can be pretty devastating, whereas here, no cards cost more than 4. In addition, cards like Rakdos' Return, Mizzium Mortars, Cyclonic Rift and Syncopate will all be worth a lot more than the life lost, since they have alternate costs or X in the mana cost. A seer on turn 4 and a Rakdos' Return for 3 on turn 5 can be devastating, especially with a 4/4 flier swinging in uncontested. This deck also functions largely as a "Grixis Walkers" kind of deck, and I think Theros will have much to offer it. Dack Fayden will be in Theros and most likely Black/Blue, and we can only cross our fingers that he will be playable. On top of that, Ral Zarek is insane and underplayed. His ultimate works incredibly well in this deck since, for every extra turn you take, seer triggers again, forcing your opponent to draw cards and lose life respectively, but has no chance to cast any spells drawn this way. Pretty miserable way to die, quite honestly.I think this is going to be my go-to standard deck post-rotation, and I'd love help making it better! Comments and suggestions are always appreciated!
