So, for those people that follow my stuff or have even seen some of my other decks, you know that my favorite archetypes are aggro and control. I've made a couple naya aggro decks as well as my GR aggro and a couple esper control and RWU decks. These have all been fun, but there's still an archetype in the meta right now that fascinates me to no end--the Aristocrats.People say that the Aristocrats hit its peak at Pro-Tour gatecrash and has been on the decline. I completely disagree. I think that Dragon's Maze gives the Aristocrats everything it needs to thrive in Voice of Resurgence and Varolz. The combo's are just a little different, but the deck still works the same way. Now, I'm no pro magic player, and the price listed to my right is a little more than I'm willing to spend already (even though I do already have a voice of resurgence). To cut down the cost, I cut down the shocklands. I think that gatecreeper vine does what I want without sacrificing too much board position or time. Besides, this deck doesn't do really ridiculous things with colored mana costs like some other decks in the format (cough cough strangleroot geist + boros reckoner cough cough). The most mana intensive cards are cartel aristocrat and VoR in terms of mana-specificity, and even they aren't bad. I'm even considering swapping the shocks out for guild gates and seeing how they fare.Overall, I really hope you all like it, and I could really use your feedback!UPDATE: Oh my gosh, I just found the card death driver. For those of you that aren't familiar (which is probably a lot of people, cause I've never heard of it either), here it is.3BWhen Death Driver dies, return a creature card with converted mana cost 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. (cough voice cough)3/2First of all, a 4 mana 3/2 is an okay PT return, but the ability means that I can sac a voice, get the elemental, sac death driver, and then bring back VoR, and then sac voice again if I wanted to and get another elemental. What do you guys think? Worth it?

I wish that this deck had another sac outlet besides aristocrat. Something like bone splinters wouldn't be bad. You could kill a creature and gain morbid for skirsdag and tragic slip.

It also has varolz. Do you think it needs more?
Bloodthrone vampire would be excellent in here, providing another sac outlet that can swing for the win often. Even better than death driver would be immortal servitude. Maybe if you took out maw of the obzedat you could squeeze them in. I love saccing everything to trigger blood artist, then reanimating everything for another round of saccing.
I've got immortal servitude sided, but you're right about the fact that it's probably more useful than maw. Thanks for the comment!
I like the deck idea, I agree that a little more removal would be helpful, so bone splinters is a perfect card in that respect... Nice to see a competitive deck that plays green without thragtusk for a change. Respect.Would you mind looking at my brew I just put together, let me know what you think. Cheers. http://www.mtgvault.com/kennyinsane-3/decks/swindling-in-standard/
only card i feel is lacking is the pilgrim but its a great deck i dont think u need to add to many immortal servitude because sometimes u will want just the scavenge from those cards. maybe rootborn defenses in the sideboard to counter the removal
