The deck plays essentially as a grindy mid-range deck that plays well against other midrange decks, but has the capability of instantly winning off of Kiki +resto angel, to create 'infinite' restoration angels. If they don't see the combo game one then keep it in, unless you are against something fast like burn, then i would take them out just because they are way too expensive CMC wise. After they've seen the combo game one and they board to try and take out your combo, then you just take them out and swap them for Assemble the legion and Batterskull. Two difficult to kill win conditions if they aren't prepare for it.This deck struggles vs faster more consistent combo decks, but is decent vs small creature aggro and midrange decks like jund and abzan.

I think that dropping 1 resto and 1 inquisition for 2 dark confidant

Most confidant (abzan and jund) decks have like maybe two 4 drops, and those 4 drops are usually seige rhino and huntmaster of the fells. Having dark confidants with four 4cmc creatures and two 2cmc creatures is really greedy. The dark conifdant version of mardu is just a different deck entirely.
plus, you have wall of omens + resto combo for card draw as well as a copy of painful truths. You also have soulfire grandmaster to buy back bolts and paths on turn 5 and onwards. So the deck doesn't run of steam as quick as you'd think.
Resto just doesn't do enough on it's own and I don't see a huge need for the extra inquisition since it is awful late game
Resto has plenty of targets and if people use removal spells on your wall of omens to deny you a trigger that's literally a win for you, cause that's a removal spell they're not using on your angel, never mind the fact that just flashing in an angel to block game 1 is really good. Cause it's not like people are expecting you to be running restoration angel in a mardu shell, because most people are running nahiri in that slot atm. Also diluting 1 cmc cards to put in dark confidants is just greedy. It's also only bad late game vs certain decks. Vs any deck with counter magic, it's great to get remands and stuff out of their hand so you can flashback lingering souls and stuff, it's just outright bad late game. Ofcourse you'd take them out postboard vs jund or abzan. Most of the typical jund and abzan decks usually run around 4-6 1 mana discard spells, and any lower than that is unusual. We're running 5 so that's definitely not unusual. I just disagree dude sorry :)
Also taking out resto angel dilutes the combo.
sorry i said 'it's just outright bad late game'When i meant *it's not just outright bad late game.
