You can always pick up Merrow Harbinger if you need a specific Merfolk with Familiar´s Ruse. Cast Banishing Knack on Surgespanner to return two permanents for the cost of 3 islands! Also, get alot of free drakes with Talrand on the battlefield! Warning, people might start hating you.
