Thanks for the advice. I just added the Ajani's cuz I had them but you're right they don't quite belong. Added one more Trostani and the slime molding is clutch with populate good call. I added a few Quirion Dryad's just to get this deck moving a little faster.

Since it seems we both have a soft spot for red, I just finished a mono red theme deck that works well in mid/meta games. Check it out:

usernamejosh is right when he says gobies are great for burn. I love the control and speed you get out of it. Moonveil dragon can definitely work in here but something a little more useful than an expensive Furyborn Hellkite is a Voracious Dragon to skarf up some goblin tokens. Concerning tokens a Siege Gang Commander works excellent. Ember Hauler can increase the control/burn in lieu of the Battle Jester. Also consider Claws of Valakut for Spikeshot Elder which in tandem is so rediculous and a good chant for any of your creatures anyways.

So many of us wanted to play modern that they finally got it going there. Asceticism sounds nice in theory but I've tried it in several different decks and it always showed up a day late and a dollar short. It's hexproof buff is redundant with all the creatures static abilities anyhow. Maybe in a deck with ramp it would work better.

You're right splashing white for a land that spams +1/+1 counters isn't quite worth it, but white is almost worth it just for Travel Preparations. Hard to make the case for G/R/W though.

Liked! If only Bonfire of the Damned wasn't so G*d D*mn expensive we could throw some more in there.

Here's a cheap hexproof creature pump deck for you. New to the site and thanks in advance for any comment(s)!

You might as well make it an entirely green deck at that point. I do like Ooze with PU but if you trash the IV then just take out the SD and add Champion of Lambholt for QQ's along with caravan vigil or dawn treader elk or some mana ramp thang.

Hey NotNobody I have more of a dialogue I wish to open with you. I have these cards and after seeing your deck I assembled it. What I was thinking is; instead of Increasing Vengeance-which is kind of hard to pull off on other than a Hunger of the Howlpack-how about we put in Fling? Seems like an odd man out at first but what if your PH (or other critters) gets pacified? Or murdered? at Instant speed we can just fling his full HP in the enemies face. I also see you were having the discussion of mana ramp so how about instead of Increasing Vengeance we put in Infernal Plunge-we can sack out a used BB or TG for RRR. Also in one main phase as a desperate ramp we could tap the Sage and then sack her for RRR. What do you think? I would really like to keep red in this deck but I feel we need mana ramp of some sort or an alternative to Prey Upon-which if put in would squeeze out the red almost entirely. Thanks for posting this deck!
