Deck Description

This is a top-speed discard deck meant to eliminate an opponent's hand after turn 3, and keep yours refilled the entire way with Dream Salvage and Geth's Grimoire.

Raven's Crime and Augur of Skulls (on the upkeep after he comes into play) will get you your early discard, and once you see your opponent miss a land drop, Fall is what you should aim at them for maximum potential. Follow up and of these plays with Dream Salvage for gravy.

The full removal suite deals with any threats that get do hit the board, and Shah of Naar Isle is the fatty to end it, with its echo cost not being much of a problem thanks to all the discard. Don't feel bad about tapping out for a fourth-turn Geth's Grimoire if you have removal ready to respond with, which you should.

After you hit four, or even five lands, you can start binning them to a Raven's Crime to keep your opponent's hand empty.

The sideboard has what you need to deal with nonbasic land people, swarming decks, artifacts, and that extra damage/discard push if you don't need too much removal.

So, in summary, dump their hand quick, refill yours quicker, and watch their faces turn beet red while you beat them into the red...zone, that is.

*Credit goes to Jacob Van Lunen's article "A Forgotten Gem, Salvaged" for inspiring this deck. This is a slightly more budget and modernized version of the deck designed in the article.
