Deck Description

Ok, so I made this deck on a whim then realized how great it truly was and decided to run it at a local tourny. I almost won it too, until I came up against a standard Jace deck and well... Ya. I was able to hinder the deck a lot with this, but just not enough to stop his deck and run mine at the same time.

Main idea is to get out a sac engine like say mortian beetle + viscera seer = Reassembling skeleton and just keep blinking skel in and out. Adding pawn of ulamog in the combo makes this deck ramp VERY quickly.

Royal Assassin and Captivating vamp are mainly in here to control the board while I build my army.

But here it is, and let me know what you guys think!

Deck discussion for Vamps love to sac!

ooh, seems interesting, seems a bit expensive to do everything you want to but looks very nice.

vampire hexmage should solve your jace problems as a sideboard card.

plus cheap killspells for aggro matches (maybe sylvok lifestaff) for the sideboard.

Thanks, I considered hexmage before but I don't have any at the moment so I didn't put him in the sideboard. But Lifestaff is a ridiculously good idea, just attach that to skel each time and I'll be set.

I know the curve seems high with the deck but usually between turn 4-6 I'm able to set it off and end the game. When I get 2 pawns a mortian, and a skel on the field though, it ramps like no ones business and the games over. I think the longest game I've played with it was 8 turns, maybe?

Hey thanks! Ya, I've had two but I wasn't sure if I wanted to run them just because of the fact he can't do anything till lvl 2. But it he can significantly slow that board... Know what, I'm going to go ahead and try that today.

Play tested it, worked great! Took out two GFTT's and added Guul draz and that effectively stalled the board each game until I unleashed my engine and dominated the rest of the rounds. I also replaced one of the body and minds for another Feast and Famine, so much fun!

I'd look into bloodghasts because they Rez on landfall and a butcher of malakir. Every creature of yours that dies or is sacrificed your opponents sac a creature. He's a little pricy but it's also cheaper than lvling an assassin

If you're having trouble finding any Vampire Hexmage's, use a Hex Parasite (although the Hexmage would be A LOT better.) otherwise, perhaps side board some Tormented Souls so you can at least tic off some counters from Jace.
