I haven't tried it at FNM or anything, but I play with a pretty competitive meta. This deck among friends tends to win roughly four out of every five games.

If you've gone depressed from pining at the deck but knowing that $200 is way more than you're willing to spend, I also made a cheaper version of the deck. It's a tad bit slower and not as well optimized as this one, however, it is a quarter the price. So feel free to have a look.

After a LOT of playtesting, I have finally adjusted this deck to be not only modern legal but also a bit faster with more lands to work with. It should work much better, but if you're not concerned with card legality, throw in a couple from the sideboard. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions and I'd love to hear more!

I had infect in here for quite some time actually, but it turned out that people didn't really like playing against infect, so I took it out entirely. But Windborn Muse might be great.

Have you thought about possibly throwing a Thought Gorger in there? It would give you an ability to discard some more cards if you need to, would give Soulflayer trample, would be pretty powerful, and gives you decent draw power.

I love it, but is there any way to give it double strike, trample, and/or vigilance?

This deck could easily be made Modern. I like it.

Have you considered putting in Axebane Guardian, or would you like to keep it standard?

I'm also curious what Sun Titan's purpose is in the deck. It doesn't really synergize too well with the rest of the cards in the deck in my opinion.

My suggestion would be to get rid of Gerrard's Verdict and make the whole thing modern.

I realize that this deck could be much better especially with all of the mill possibilities, but it's powered down purposely to keep it budget as well as to comply with my personal meta. I'll also update it to make it modern when I find some more time. But feel free to suggest anything.

It's just a pet peeve of mine, but I'd suggest bringing it down to an even 60 cards.

Also, I apologize if the title sounded pretentious, that was certainly not the intent. I just hold a great deal of pride and confidence in this deck because I've been working on it for over a year now.

I had considered putting Shadow in there, but I made this deck using the cards that I already owned, and I had gotten into Magic somewhat late, so I didn't necessarily have a lot of Shadow cards. But my other concern was keeping the deck Modern legal, so I would actually really consider putting Looter Il-Kor into the deck. However, I didn't realize after messing with the deck that it no longer was Modern legal (thank you to Cruzer for pointing that out), so I'd like to mess with it a bit more in play testing to figure out a way to make it legal.

Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. I may try it out and get back to you after some playtesting.

I saw this deck and it looked pretty fun to play with, so I ordered it exactly how you made it and it's actually been a great time; I'm loving it. Thanks for making a pretty awesome deck, +1 from me!

PS: A card that I've really liked that I put in here is Death's Presence. It's a bit heavier of a drop, but it's really helped quite a bit.
