Deck discussion for Werewolves

Wolfbitten Captive's are a great alternative first turn drop, however, they do get pretty mana dependant to really get the buffs going. I would suggest maybe dropping them for Village Ironsmith's. They are a 1R creature but get the benefit of first strike. When you trample through using your wolf run, they can do some pretty serious damage.

Also on that note, because its a fast-paced aggressive deck, I would maybe drop the 4 prey upon's and throw in some burn like 2 shocks and 2 incinerates or 4 shocks, just to hit your opponent straight to the face or quickly burn down a pesky creature at the end of your opponents turn.

I just updated my werewolves deck today, but didnt edit any of the text as to what I removed and what it got replaced with etc...

Feel free to check it out and comment.

I like the Wolfbitten Captive because it's a 1 drop, but I'll probably get rid of 2, and add some hinterland hermits because they have to be blocked if able, and with kruin outlaw, they have to be blocked by two creatures. This comes in handy for those pesky token decks. I'm kind of partial to hinterland hermit, but the Village Ironsmith is not a bad idea at all. I'll get a few and test it out.

I'm trying to keep it standard for FNM, so shocks and incinerates are only good for a little while longer, unless they get reprinted. However, you do raise a good point so I may get rid of 3 prey upons and switch them with the searing spears in the sideboard.

I checked out your deck and it's pretty solid. I'm interested in how it plays. Akroma's Memorial is a brutal card!

I playtested my deck against my buddy who had about 15 different decks lined up for me. I won about 15 games and lost only 2 on some mana-fluke issues but generally the deck runs like a well-oiled machine.

Its hard to gauge how this will perform at a FNM or competitive setting because he uses decks comprised from any and all cards he buys whether they are from a dollar store, or duel decks or planechase decks along with all of the current sets. His deck building is pretty crafty though and he came at me from almost every angle with his 15 decks.

The one thing my deck has a weakness to is flying creatures though, so I sideboarded in a few cards to hopefully neutralize those threats long enough to just bash through and take the win.

I never got the chance to drop the Akroma's Memorial down in a game though lol, it was usually over before turn 7.
