i've also added guerilla tactics to the sideboard for use against blue decks [counter]
and relentless assault to potentially be able to have 8 successive attack phases - it's a bit of overkill but hey, could be fun to watch your opponent's face as you keep attacking

thnx for the tips... i realise i mis-read quite a few cards while making it.
for some reason i thought pillage/ice fall targeted enchantments as well, and that fireball was an instant... thatll take some revision.
i really like the idea with balthor/loxodon instead of fireball - i guess youll see the changes soon.
thax again.

@persian. i see what you're saying, that's why i've got the protected sideboard and spells like countersquall - which not only counters the removal spell but also deals 2 damage- and hideous end... thanks for the heads up though anyway.. if you've got tips for any 1-2 mana spells for 2 damage thatd be awesome; no red spells though of course...
cheers hippo - ill check it out .

thanks man. i used to run traumatize in a similar deck to this (similar in the fact the main win condition was bloodchief + discard spells) but i found it hard to cast because of it's cost, i'd usually end up discarding it so it was a waste of space... ill check out scalpelexis

inkfathom infiltrator instead of covert operative... its also unblockable and cheaper. put a few deflections in the side board for when you're playing black or red burns.

splash some white mana for 'path to exile'.. that way archive trap costs you nothing to cast and blood chief ascension deals that oh so sweet 26 damage..

as you said, a good beginner deck to learn the basics... any deck containing wrath of god/day of judgement would destroy this though
