The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

I built and played this deck 31 times against different decks, and so far many at the card shop have been impressed. The fact that the goal is to throw Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker onto the playing field and win, impressed even more. Yes, it may look slow, or to clunky for most to even bother playing it, but the fact i took third place with it at FNM, say's otherwise. The deck is built on the cheap in my book, it only took one hour to find and build it, so give the deck a try... The way the deck works is simple! Build enough mana to play Nicol Bolas by turn five or six using x2 Sphere of the Sun and 1 Gilded Lotus, and three mana. I've been able to play him on turn five so far with no problems due to artifact removal being little to no threat, and to be honest... i have yet to see a standard FNM deck built for Nicol Bolas, and it's a darn shame. The other half of the deck was made to stall and confuse until your able drop the hammer.

I like the concept, but your creature base confuses me. Adaptive Automaton has no place in this deck, (this is supposed to be control, not zombie-aggro). I think adding some Griselbrands or Consecrated Sphynxs would be extremely heplful, given that you dont have the card draw to guarantee you even get Bolas every game, and even if those 2 cards dont find him, Griselbrand especially can be just as game breaking. One othet suggestion would be switch Evil Twin with Phyrexian Metamorph, until rotation at least.

Honestly, the deck was made on the spot, thus the reason why it's so random in it's contents. Which is why it did so well at FNM. While everyone is set up to play against Delver, Esper, Superfriends, etc... this was anything but expected, and confusing to most. Yes, the deck needs cards added and taken out, but... this was made on the cheap, and the cards you listed are still expensive. Ranging from seven to fifteen bucks each. Frankly, i see nothing wrong with it. Granted it's not going to win every time, the fact someone took a shot at a deck that run's Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in standard, and take third, should be given some praise, no? Nevertheless, i see whete your getting at. I'd explain how the deck works in a more in depth manner, but playing it your self will explain more then some random noob as my self.
A cheaper card to consider that will dramatically help with your consistency is Bloodgift DemonI highly recommend you check him out.
