I made this deck last FNM standard and was told it would NEVER TAKE FIRST. However, i proved everyone wrong. The number one card many sead was not worth playing was Devastation Tide. However, this card is great in this deck due to heavy Lingering Souls packing decks, and Planeswalkers to name a few cards. The other card was of course poor Tamiyo, who of which did very well along side Jace. Hit them with mill, then lock down a land. Aside from this, the deck has alot of lock down, mainly Frost Titan, and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Phantasmal Image if need be. Aside from this, it's heavy with counter spells such as Mana Leak and Dissipate, not to over look Snapcaster Mage which can be one or the other if need be. The reason for so much counter spell's is because i've been seeing alot of early drop lingering souls and Liliana of the Veil, which can hinder your set up if you let her hit the table early. Anyways, this deck also has the new Temprol Mastery. I only run three, four seems to clunky, and having two IMO is not enough. The same can be sead with Devastation Tide. This being sead, i've been getting alot of hate for this card. Mostly because Temporal Mastery has a love/hate value among players, and if you ask those at the local card shop i play at... most, if not all say it sucks, and should not be played in standard. My side board has a few cards that help against grave lovers, and other grave tricks. Dungeon Geist are for lingering souls and more lock down... mainly for titan hate if i can't bring out my own fast enough, or don't have a Pantasmal Image in hand. Aside from the Mindshrieker and the odd ball Infinite Reflection, which is used for decks that have alot of titans or other high costing faties... the reast is for draw power.
