Main Deck (2 cards)

Creatures (1)

Instants (1)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

is phyrexian dreadnoughts text " sacrifice blah blah blah" considered a triggered ability? someone played it then stifled it. does that work? ive never seen that before.

Deck discussion for question

yes it is triggered, you can fling it or vision charm or pithing needle as well

Yes it is, if you click on Phyrexian Dreadnought you can see the rulings for the card...

"Reverted to its original wording, this now has an enters-the-battlefield triggered ability. During resolution of the triggered ability, you choose one option or the other."

Congratulate whoever played that combo, it's nice in it's simplicity.

i am almost certain its a triggered ability because to trigger something is to set it off by doing another action (like a gun pull the trigger and a bullet comes out) and dreadnought says that [when] it comes into play ( action) sac creatures (reaction). However MTG is weird because lets say you play living wish from judgement. it says search for a card outside of the game but you cant go into your trade binder to look for any card you want it has to be in your sideboard.

stifle is the best, but the vision charm works well for its cheap $

JonBomb sure you could target it with Pithing Needle but nothing would happen since Pithing Needle States Activated ability.

the sacrifice is an activated ability, by its being cast. thats how the ruling reads

JonBomb thats correct Pithing would Not work on Krakens eye since it only triggers it has no activated abilities. you can target anything with pithing (and i've seen some dumb choices) but it wont have an effect unless the target has a tap, sac, mana usage ((different from mana ability) mana abilities are activated trigger or static abilities that produce mana while mana usage abilities are activated abilites that require some form of mana to activate.).

no dont tell them let them target it then play a spell and declare your life gain, they'll be like wtf i just said i target it with pithing needle and you reply so? it has a triggered ability not an activated one.
also vision charm isn't that great on this guy since phasing back in doesnt count as coming into play and thus doesnt trigger this guys ability. a spell like Flicker or Blink would since those remove from game and instantly bring it back into play.

thanks even more everyone!!! : ) as me and jonbomb suggested, we think people on here should download magic work station (the free version) so we can play each other. that would just make everything really fun. It would be interesting to finally play the decks and people on this site. it would also help with the deck testing and refining. idk. just throwing stuff out there.

I know it costs slightly more but thinking of incorporating this in to a mono white deck. Would 'Humble' work if played when casting Dreadnought?
