Deck Description

I made this deck as my first mid-range deck. The Gruul deck from the Gatecrash series was my first ever deck that I bought, and I loved the idea of monstrous creatures. After several edits with my friends advice, I created a deck that uses the aggressiveness of red and green, added with an abundance of Mana to help squish the opposition early on.

How to Play

This deck is simple enough. The objective is to bring out an Elvish Piper by Turn 3, and use its ability to bring out powerful creatures by Turn 4. Even if you don't bring out an Elvish Piper by Turn 4 or 5, you should have more than enough mana to bring out powerful creatures, such as Bellowing Tanglewurm, Atarka, World Render, or Hamletback Goliath.

Here is an example game:

Turn 1): Bring out a land, tap for Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic.
Total of 2 Mana

Turn 2): Bring out second land, tap lands for two Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystics.
Total of 5-6 Mana.

Turn 3): Bring out third land, tap four mana to bring out Elvish Piper.
Total of 6-7 Mana.

Turn 4): Bring out fourth land, tap a Forest and Elvish Piper to bring out Bellowing Tanglewurm, Flameblast Dragon, or any of the other powerhouse creatures you draw.
Total of 8-9 Mana.

Turn 5): Kill.
