Deck Description

A control deck with Gilded Lotus providing insane amounts of mana. Note that the bombs can be played without the Lotuses. Mindshrieker isn't that great, but he gets the job done. I made this with a 100 dollar budget in mind, and with the cards I own, it turns out to be a little under 100 (94).

How to Play

Almost never tap out past turn 3 unless you have to, it's their end step, or it's for Gilded Lotus (which isn't really tapping out anyway). Swap out Syncopate for the appropriate counterspell post sideboard, and make sure to swap out bombs against R/B(/x) so you don't get crippled by Slaughter Games.

Deck discussion for Lotus Control

For your budget it seems quite good.
I have an Esper control deck on my page I'm playing in standard also, different approach though.

Would you consider increasing your budget over time for the deck?

First, I've been testing vs. some mid-range and it's been faring fairly well. I'll take a look at yours and post a comment.
Second, it would depend on what is released in Gatecrash.
