After submitting a Marchesa Deck a couple weeks ago I wanted to revisit the general. She under-performed generally speaking and while I won some games, most of the time it felt very awkward and lucky, and wasn't very fun to play. Going off what I learned mass removal is amazing with Marchesa, because you are almost always getting the better end of it. Treason effects plus a sac outlet is also very fun plus interactive and something that worked well. For this deck I'm not trying to make a super competitive deck list, just a fun commander deck in grixis with a lot of flavor. Still looking for advice as it needs a lot of work.
My plan of attack is to grind out wins getting in with small 3-5 power beats, and gaining card advantage by abusing ETB triggers, etc. The deck looks towards getting Marchesa in play and putting a counter on her and several other creatures to stall the board and set up a board wipe. Another play is to wait for your large dragons to try and finish the opponent off, or something like Flayer of the hatebound. I'm experimenting with counter spells in the deck I first didn't include them because I felt they deluded what the deck was trying to do, but well see.

I love this type of deck, one big problem (i'm having it as well). I don't see a lot of draw power or ways to stabilize yourself when you are behind. Please help me with my build and I'll keep helping you with yours:http://www.mtgvault.com/gfreeman/decks/marchesa-the-black-rose-edh/
