Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Just a mix of cards I already have to celebrate the theme of death itself :)

How to Play

Hold back your enemies with deathtouch creatures standing in front of their beautiful pets. Snipe them with poisoned bow. Then just put rancor on nighthawk and fly for victory on the wings of night...

Deck discussion for touched by death

Amazingly close to my own design :D
(inserting it for others to look at)
http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/gbdeathtouch-modernlegacy/

I like the focus on golgari charm by having stuff like deadly recluse instead of "fletchwood archer".
I have been considering adding a single rancor to my own design, just for the chance of trampling through.
I am also considering adding glissa the traitor to my deck after I have started to use artisfacts like batterskull and wurmcoil.

If you ever enter modern or legacy with your build, let me know how it goes, as I'm trying to be very competitive :D

Yes I was quite surprise when I saw your deck :)

Yes, I use charm here as early board wipe against tokens/goblins/elves etc. so I use only creatures with at least 2 toughness.

I will let you know. But as shock/fetch land are over my budget I very much doubt it.

My No. 1 deck is Gruul Aggro although I miss the expensive cards like goblin guide :)

I actually met someone who played something looking like a bad mix between our decks with focus on some weird stuff (loleth troll, a deathtoucher connected to liliana by flavor) He played 2 glissa the traitor but was really untrained.

Is there a liliana theme deck with deathtouch that has started a focus on BG-deathtouch?

If so I can understand why not many "get" how much I have worked on this design :D

What's the background of your own design?
I started mine as part of the halfdeck designs and have had focus on BU and BG

Backround of the design? It was just an idea I had when friend of mine came with a mix of three decks he plays to bring some input to our regular mtg sessions.
That inspired me to look at the decks and cards I own and try to make something new from what I have.
So this deck came up from experience from playing my monogreen and my morbid/undying deck where trample/deathtouch theme works well. Plus I just like the nighthawk :) No more in that. Nor I will pay any more afford to this deck unless it shows unexpectably well in our casual plays.

Well, after you made me take a look at your design I searched for other deathtouch-decks. It turned out that there was a lot of other snake/nighthawk designs out there, so I have been wondering if there was a pre-made deck out there that I found.

You can take some pride in that I think your design is the most "through-thought" deck out of all the others :D

Thanks man for credit. Although it wasn't my intention :)) still not sure if this deck has a chance to be competitive in tournaments but thats not what I want from it. Surely it works in our pub-games especially after few drinks :)))

If your playgroup is more casual in nature I can recommend that you or someone you know try to build a bunch of halfdecks!

Read how to build it here: (Just a few advices)
http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/guide-how-to-build-a-halfdeck/

And read all the designs here:
http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/halfdeck-primer/
The short version of what it is is this:
Build 10 decks with only 30 cards in them, 2 in each color.
try to build each deck with it's own theme, and at least a few winconditions.
Then when your playgroup meets deal out 2 halfdecks at random to each player and have them shuffle their halfdecks together into 1 full deck. (this works best with all cards/decks in colorless sleeves).

Combined 10 halfdecks will be able to be mixed into at least 45 different deck. This means that all players are playing with something new almost each time, but that they will also know what their deck does after a couple of sessions.

Well that sounds interesting. Maybe we will try, thanks for the tip :)

It's a way to renew the game, and if it ever gets boring because your group plays the same decks each time, this is a way to save it!

First, the compliments. Good job. Lots of nice cards in this deck. I like how you are using Viridian Longbow.
Revenge of the Hunted is also an interesting card, for it's miracle cost. And Sign in Blood, also very good.

Have you considered Grim Affliction? Grim Affliction/ Golgari Charm combo is nice. Basically, for 5 mana you are going to get to put -2/-2 on every single creature your opponent has. That is interesting. I like it better than Tragic Slip

I find it interesting that you are trying to run both discard cards and infect cards...is the deck solid like that?

Good luck!

Thank you for your comments.
First I put Revenge in just that I like the card but it turned out that it works wonders.
The Grim Affliction's proliferate wouldn't work with Charm's -1/-1, its not a counter. Or am I wrong?
The discard cards are there cause I like to know what I'm standing against so I can adjust use of removals and so on. Not sure if more 1 drop creatures with deathtouch would work better. Must try.
