I started this deck with the inspiration for a similar "Infinite Extort" Deck that I recently saw, and added a few of the cards that I remember perusing over in the "New Phyrexia" block -- it consists of Extort Cards, Removal, and some slight Lockdown. A lot of Theorycrafting went into this deck, at least with the cards that I added myself, such as the Mindcrank and the Norn's Annex.
The main goal of this deck, along with the similar Infinite Extort Deck that gave me inspiration, is to try and fish for the Infinite Extort Loop, and drain your opponent to 0 Life with the Exquisite Blood and Vizkopa Guildmage Ability. However, if I can't draw into those, I have plenty of Removal and Stall prepared for when I can get those two cards out to do the combo. Norn's Annex is involved in this deck, not just because I love the idea behind the card, but because it forces your opponent to think about how they wish to use their Mana/Life. When Norn's Annex is out, they can't attack unless they pay 1 White Mana for each attacking creature, or 2 life if they cannot afford the Mana -- this leads to 1 of 2 situations; they don't attack you, because they don't want to lose any life. This is usually the case if they don't have any useable Mana on the board when deciding to attack. And the second situation is that they simply burn themselves low enough for a creature to slip through, or you can just extort them to death either way. Following the idea behind Mindcrank, whenever you extort, you force your opponent to discard a card -- while this isn't the sole purpose of this deck, it certainly frustrates your opponent and could inevitably force them to remove a card that could potentially turn the game around for them. It's not just from Extorting that forces your opponent to discard cards either, but whenever they lose life -- whether that be from a creature, a spell, or a special effect such as Extort. This can also happen if they pay any amount of Life to attack while Norn's Annex is out on the field, showing that this card has some nice Synchronization with this deck.
