This is the current iteration of my Selvala list. Since putting the original one together I've worked on adding in more win conditions as well as a few new ways to interact with the board state. The old list was amazing in multiplayer matches, especially when there were four or more people. Unfortunately it didn't compete well in 1v1 unless the opponent played voltron, but I believe I may have fixed this problem. Now the list hits much harder, although I'm still missing some beaters like Dragonlord Dromoka and Sigarda Host of Herons to prevent counterspells and removal effects. It is also missing a sacrifice effect or two to make use of some neat cards. A lot of the early game plays have been substituted for more substantial plays, and the deck feels like it is being more proactive as you pilot it. I've also added in some mana doublers so that it is possible to apply some new infinite mana combos. Most of them are a bit convoluted, and the deck is well built for casual play. There is one combo that will cause a table to scoop up their cards, and that would be Selvala with Sword of the Paruns and a mana doubler or just having several opponents. The combo allows everyone at the table to draw their entire decks out, and there are several ways to protect your combo pieces as you draw your library and make a ton of mana simultaneously. It is a slow combo and thus usually makes people scoop, but it is also a game winner if it is left uninterrupted. This deck is still multiplayer dominant in many ways, but will hopefully now stand better in 1v1 as well.
This deck at one time was operable with two lands, and now I'm willing to bet that it could still operate with an opening hand of two lands but I would recommend three or two and a rock or fast ramp that can roll into other ramp spells. Your spot removal is light, but key removal pieces are reusable and there are several ways to interact with your graveyard. You also have access to boardwipes that are more one sided than most, and those can help you protect your board when you're under threat. There may be some odd pieces at this time, but everything in the deck has a function and is applicable in many interactive situations. It's up to you to find and use these situations, but every time I play this deck I find something new.
