lol, i don't know the price of some of these cards where you live, but a lot of the cards on here (where I live) are pretty pricy. i.e. celestial colonnade, venser, elspeth, sun titan. stuff like that

You said your control has more answers then mine, and I dont see that. Preordain is unnecessary except for mono blue decks, 3 day of judgment is enough, you dont have enough creatures, and 11 counters is far to many. 6 works great for me. Up to 4 condemn for more spot removal, you dont need 4 tec. edge, 3 at most. everflowing chalice is not good in control decks, and you hamilar depths isnt helpful enough to use.
are you joking? preordain is a definite 4-of. you get to see 2 cards, and if you need one, its yours. if you need neither, bottom of the deck. any deck running blue should abuse preordain, its amazing. 11 counters... hmm.. iunno, i dont run 11 but counter is amazing. and i do agree that 4 tec edge is a bit much for me.
By pricy i meant Jace the Mind Sculptor. If I wanted it to be good I'd go and spend $80 per copy that I want in the deck. I don't see this deck being priced over $100 at all. Preordain is perfect for a turn 1 or 3 search for a mana leak or land. It kinda blanks in most late game, but it has potential to turn over a titan for your win. 1 day would obviously be considered sided out for game 2 pending on the matchup. 4 works like a charm because I tend to always draw one whenever i need it or would like to get rid of something that I couldn't before. The 11 counters is actually beneficial for me here. It essentially allows me to say no to just about everything they play, and puts me in a better position rather than looking at a board of beaters that keep attacking turn after turn. 4 tec edges for getting rid of my opponents 4 of man-lands is actually why they're in the deck in the first place. Chalice is actually good...I usually cast it early for 1 and let it sit there allowing me to be ahead of the curve. Halimar is pefect with preordain and it also allows me to get the counter spells the turns i need them or get to them so i can have some on hand if it's late and im low in hand.
man, here jace is like 130$. id gladly spend 80 on one.
