You need Fatal Push in the main, for sure. +3 Fatal Push+1 Dismember+1 Abrupt Decay-3 Duress-2 Blood ArtistI would also drop an Eternal Witness and add another basic Forest. Even then I'm not sure that 19 lands is enough. In the sideboard I'd drop the 3x Altar of the Brood and 1x Nihil Spellbomb and +4 Duress (or Thoughtsieze if you have those)

Usual land count on a 60 card standard deck is 22-25, depending on the curve. In this case your curve would lead me to run about 24 lands in a 60 card deck. Also, if you are running 5 colors you need some mana fixing. At lease 4 Evolving Wilds, but the Battle duals and fetches would be ideal. Otherwise you will get stuck with lots of cards in your hand you just can't cast.
Loss of life can't be prevented. Dems the rules, I didn't make 'em we just all have to play within them. Any judge will confirm this. The reason it says (Damage causes loss of life) is so you can't gain life from damage you didn't take. For example: Your opponent hits you with a Fireball for 7 and you use Hold at Bay to prevent that damage. You can't then sacrifice the Children to gain an ADDITIONAL 7 life.Nothing can prevent 'loss of life' or 'pay X life'. Period. End of story. If you make this Modern legal and try and pull that the judge will rule against you every time. It's pretty much Magic 101.
Hate to burst your bubble but the loss of life from pumping your creeps can't be reversed by Children of Korlis. Paying life is not damage.
Might be a little too creature heavy, main deck. Run 1 Aetherling and a pair of BB or Ghost Dad, give the rest of the spots to counters/removal. Far & Away is also an awesome card... oh, 2 creatures in play... return the elvish mystic to your hand and sac the Brimaz, thank you very much...
No Downfall? No Blood Baron or Ghost dad? Why even bother with Black in the deck at all?
Pull the Burning Tree's to add a 4th Polukranos and 2 Boon Satyr's leaving the deck at exactly 60 cards.
