The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Mainly a flood of low cost vampires with good abilities such as lifelink, deathtouch, and flying. Then some high cost vampires with good abilities and power/strength. The artifacts and other spells are there to compliment the vampires with boosts, destruction, and damage/life gain.
Normally, I aim to get Child of Night and Pulse tracker out ASAP, CoN for the early life gain, and Pulse tracker for being able to hit my opponent for 2 life on my second, and possibly 6 my 3rd. Mana flow in this deck just isn't the strong suite, think of it like a curse on the deck, so if I must, I'll use a Diabolic Tutor to get a mana and shuffle my deck in hopes I can draw one more. I'll normally keep crowd control a priority with Destroy spells, while diddling away at the opponents life.

Personally i would recommend taking out Butcher of Malakir and replace it with Vampire Nighthawks...Vampire Nighthawks have got to be one of the best Vampires ever printed...Also if you want some Vampire fun put in Vampire's Bite...i would recommend putting Coat of Arms to the sideboard and maybe replace it with Blade of the Bloodchief its an amazing Vampire booster...maybe remove Rise from the Grave its just not helping this deck at all and same with Mind Shatter id recommend taking that out also unless your going to benefit from them discarding cards like if you had Lelianna Caress or something...Id add in Go For The Throat personally as a removal Check out my vampire deck if you want its called The Vampire Diaries http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=235511

Also forgot where are the Gatekeep of Malakir, amazing vampire card with a great kicker!
This deck is a deck for recreational play with friends, so I didn't devote highly sought cards to the deck, I wanted a powerful deck but nothing too powerful so me and my friends recreational play doesn't turn into competitive and proud raging gameplay. The coat of Arms would be overkill though it truly does redefine the term Steroid. As for Blade of the Bloodcheif, I want that card badly but haven't the luck to have come across one. And as a personal rule, I limit Rare and uncommon cards in my decks to 2 unless it's a deck I plan to use in tournament play.
