Did you miss the whole hexproof thing?

Hexproof will happen when you get the lord out. But you should have illusions out before then like the bear. He means from turn 1 start taking out your illusions until you get the lord out.

i would work xenograph. it will help protect your lord of the unreal =) and you can even add some better creatures that aren't illusions.

Thanks I'll look into that.

The big thing with the illusions is adding Grand Architect and Wurmcoil Engines.

Xenograft is good. But that will be more a late game thing. 4 colorless 1 U. He should have the lord out turn 2. if not then as soon as possible. Now if you had the mana accelleration as with grand Architect, then you may have that and a couple lords out by turn 4.

also turn to frog =) its just a fun card to have. or ponder.

Turn to frog is the 1 turn, legally played Fowl play from unglued. You think your gonna attack with that 4/4 infect creature...boom it is now 1/1 and i will block and kill it. It helps a lot with creature control.

Nice build, I have a few things for you to consider. With such low casting costs I think you can live with 22 mana and run a few Chronozoa. I have also been thinking about using something like Veilstone Amulet or Leyline of Anticipation with illusions but I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Other than that this is about the best tribal illusion has to offer now.
Good luck with the deck!

My question to you is are you trying to make it standard or just whatever for casual play? If standard, there will be a bunch of cards rotating out. If not, there are probably a lot of cards you might want to look at.

Have you thought about throwing in some cheaper counterspell cards that would only cost 2 to use, to prevent the opponent from going off earlier on in the game

I play with an illusion deck. It started out very similar to this. But it's real easy to beat. You need to add other win conditions. Or else this will just get destroyed almost every time. Check out mine here http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=226800 and see if there's anything you might want to try different. My deck hardly loses.

I would try some Shapesharers to mimic any nasties the opponent does get out.
