Deck discussion for Touch of Death

i like this deck
you can also use Liquimetal Coating and Splinter for a land destruct combo, destroying all lands of a specific type that are not currently on the battlefield. against a mono dolor deck its almost a guaranteed win and against a multi color deck just use Treasured Find to keep doing it. someone did this to me a while back and I almost flipped the table.
but you do need some work on your manna curve

Ya i've done that many times vs a mono deck (Forgot to add it to the how to play), and many times on turn four, which is basically a win for me then! :) I find i dont need much of a mana curve as most of my main creatures are 3mana and after that, its usually playing a tutor to get grave titan or vraska, sometimes even a longbow or splinter depending on the game. Havent had any problems with mana usually, just depends on your opening hand. I'm still open to suggestions/correction though. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's a must have!! So hard to get around sacrifice,on top of that, then throwing out the 6/6 flying trample's for four mana kinda ruin's my day. So witchbane orb is my new god <3

I'd add Thran Forge. You can use it on your opponent's creatures in order to kill them with artifact removal but you can also use it to pump your own creatures.

And I would up Splinter to 4.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've kept Splinter down to two because I found having four i was relying heavily on liquimetal coating, so I use diabolic tutor to search for what the current game requires, that way I have five sources of getting splinter if needs be. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah but with Thran Forge there are more ways to turn them into artifacts. Also, in case you didn't know, if you use the Coating on a Basic Land, you CAN Splinter that ... which may be a win against many decks.

Thran forge is just a bit old for my liking to be honest, I try to keep it in modern. Ya land destruction is a common win condition for this deck, especially against a mono deck! Thanks for the help.

IMO I think you should drop the Royal Assassin for straight up removal Like Go For the Throat or Ultimate Price. Xathrid Gorgon seems fun but a bit too slow, I'd cut both and add 1 more Titan and a 3rd Splinter Since it's a very strong aspect of the deck. Which brings me to your lands please please drop the guildgates. They're horrible! I'm aware land bases can get out of hand money wise but you can do better cheaply. like check lands (Woodland Cemetery) or at the very least replace them with the duals from Khans that give you a life from coming in tapped.

I guess Khans block wasn't around when he made this deck and the last comment was from almost 2 years ago ...

Good point Pushkin. Not sure if you've noticed me rant on this subject at one point or another on this site but I simply have a personal hatred for Guildgates. LOL
