Deck discussion for We are Battalion

May I ask why are there so many copies of 2 of each card in here? Making the deck having multiple copies of 4 out of the most important things in here makes it more consistant, so maybe you should do that. Also, another question: Your sideboard is 22 cards?

I agree, there's also no point to have boros reckoner in here. As your not making the most of his ability with a battalion deck. Try add more of the creatures you need to really make this deck work, and if you want it to be battalion theme maybe gather the townfolk could work. I have a standard human/Angel deck you can check out if it helps :-) it works with battalion to

Clifftop retreat will work nicely

Here's an idea: Try more creatures with haste and cost 3 or less, because it's on turn 3 from when you can swing with 3 creatures when on turn 1, you play a creature with battalion, turn 2, another creature with battalion, and then a 3rd creature that has haste to attack with all creatures so battalion activates.

Sacred Foundry will work even nicer.

I wasn't sure if sacred foundry is better than clifftop retreat, the way I look at it is the liklihood of you having a mountain or plains is rather high. Providing you've got one of those lands out clifftop retreat doesn't enter tapped. The only thing with battalion is it can take some time to trigger, so I thought it sucks to pay life (even though it's good to have the choice encase you don't have the land). I'd throw in gather the townsfolk for a cheap way to insure you get battalion to trigger, and as you have quite a few humans maybe champion of the parish? I added glaring spotlight to mine only because it's a great way to deal damage that can't be blocked, especially with all the battalion triggers you can deal a lot of damage :-) but I agree again, keep creature cost low and try get haste in the game :-D

Well I'd rather suggested Sacred Foundry because it's on turn 1 where you could have a creature that costs 1 white or a creature that costs 1 red and you have a sacred foundry to play and then play that creature. It gets creatures out faster since life won't matter when you can beat down the opponent really quickly.
