Deck Description

This deck features Baral and Jace and has a lot of instant and sorcery spell synergies

How to Play

Counter all the scary stuff and bounce things away:
- Hopefully since mono blue lacks "hard removal" you'll have enough bounce to stall for enough time to win or find more counterspells

1. Counter all the scary stuff
2. Draw cards
3. Counter more stuff
4. Bounce stuff to stall for time
5. Play Rise from the tides
6. Win

Deck discussion for Mono Blue Control

You forgot the most basic counterspell of all: negate.

I mean I disagree, cancel is the baseline for hard counters now. Though negate is probably played the most across all formats. Seeing as this is casual not standard I would recommend, remand, mana leak and disallow.

Thanks for the suggestions; always love the feedback.

I am trying to keep this deck budget and disallow is kinda pricey right now; I did originally have it in though.
Mana Leak and Remand would be amazing though. I would also like to put Negate in but I was trying to keep "counter target spell" because I always get frustrated when I leave negate up and they play a creature :)

What do you guys think about putting Geist of the Archives in? Is it any good?

If you want to go for scrying, Jace's Sanctum might work better

Dissolve, and cryptic command also would work great in this deck.

I thought you were talking about the gearhulk, sorry.

I mean a single command costs more than the entire deck rigth now. As ths is casual i would say its not a good idea to buy commands just for that. I would also like to say that gearhulk will probably drop dramtically once its out of standard.

so id keep gearhulk on the back of his mind, but wait fro it to fall out of standard.

Rewind is a fantastic counter and for setting up I would recommend frantic search. Talrand, Sky Summoner would fit right in this deck as well. Overall love the deck!

I want to thanks everyone for their feedback. My playgroup is getting together this weekend and we will consider all cards you guys suggested, and so you should see some changes made to the deck then.

With all the options we'll have to discuss if we want it to be standard or casual.
