Deck Description

Based around gaining life and drawing cards, with the combination of Jace's erasure you have the added bonus of them losing all their cards before you do. As you gain life, Ajani's pridemate gains +1/+1 counters and honden of cleansing fire, as well as Ajani's mantra, chalice of life and soul's attendant ensures that those +1/+1 counters keep rolling in. The secondary purpose of this deck is to deplete the enemy's deck while powering through your own. Honden of seeing winds, coastal piracy, curiosity, jace's erasure, belltower sphinx and drogskol reaver all ensure that you're drawing cards and destroying their library. I placed elixir of immortality just to keep the deck from running out and the life gain is always a nice bonus. Sword of war and peace gives you life depending on cards in your hand and damage to the enemy depending on how many cards they have as well, so why the hell wouldn't i add it? Especially combined with reliquary tower. Chalice of life just for the life gain each turn, and if you are doing especially well, you can deal 5 damage each turn once they are transformed to chalice of death.

As a kind of side strategy, most of the cards in the deck are flying but i have some flying enchantments if they aren't. Combined all the flying cards with stormtide leviathan and you basically have a death trap. If the other player doesn't have any flying or islandwalk, Then they essentially can no longer deal damage to you via combat damage. The only down fall to this would be that if you don't have any flying enchantments, your beefy ajani's pridemates would essentially turn into defenders to defend against literally nothing, because anything that would be attacking you would have either island walk or flying. You may just want to not play this card at some points but on the most part it will be useful. It will very rarely be a handicap to yourself to have it out.
