i would have to say milling is on of the most aggervating ways to lose against i do need some suggestions for the sideboard i got a little over half of it just need some help there is a creature thats a 1/3 i believe or 1/4 and whenever your opponent attacks you they mill their top two can anyone help? leave comments

No jace's phantasm?? Fog wall might be a better add than guard gomazoa, it cost 1 less to cast and I was thinking about suggesting mindsculp, but it's very unnecessary i see with glimpse the unthinkable and idk what you should take out for them. I would say call to mind but that's more of a decision of do you want an instant 7 card mill or to return a possibly 10 or even more card mill. So kudos on this... Have you played it? does it move quickly? I actually just built a mill based deck, kinda has a different theme than normal mills tho, would love to hear some feedback on it if ya have time...I don't build mill very much so I took a different route for it... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=415707

it plays farily to be honest i do want to get some faster mill cards or creatures
and thanks by the way
Tome scour is always a nice and quick mill spell, first turn mill 5 isn't that bad.... I have this creature in my deck and he works nice only if you can manage to get him to hit the opponent, but raven guildmaster is amazing and a good add, but like a said, the fact that he's a 1/1 makes it hard sometimes to hit the opponent
tome scour is nice but what would you take out? and thanks for your comment
Not sure if you'd agree with it, but maybe drop 1 fatespinner, 1 drowner, and 1 call to mind for at least 3 tome scours, I figured having 3 of each of those wouldnt effect how your deck plays really
call to mind maybe not but i can understand the otheer ones im gonna cry though lol
haha yea fatespinners are amazing and i can see how drowner would be fun but I can see this deck running completely fine with only 3 of them, I doubt it'd even be that noticeable. There is just a certain satisfaction I get from using tome scour turn 1, it just really sets the game off and right away throws the opponent off
true dude have all the fatespinners on the field they will basically be skipping their turn
ok do you think i should take out the keening stones? or atleast sideboard them?
I'm pretty impressed with keening stone, the only problem is its more of a late game card and you'd have to generally waste a turn playing it before you can actually use it...It's definitely a winning card that's for sure, so it's hard to say, having 1 or 2 might be beneficial.... but it's kinda hard to say,it might just be one of those cards that just wastes space in your hand you know? cause 6 to play and 5 to use is kinda iffy, even with it's powerful effect
i see your point...uuuuuh this sucks well it can be the last resort card inn here when im like pretty screwed....and i i go against a graveyard based deck take them out for leyline.....im still debating
As great as Jace, Mind Sculptor is... 3 is definetly way too many. Maybe replace one with Szadek, Lord of Secrets?
Nvm. Put in Jace Memory Adept
And lol, post any suggestions you have on my Riku deck!! Thanks man http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=415582&DeckCommentID=311880
i think the card your thinking of is hedron crab. but seriously, this isnt a legacy deck, and its not tournament quality. you would get hosed at a legacy event with this
i thought so too but its take 4 mana a 1/4 and whenever a creature attacks you opponent mills their top 2 its something keeper i think
and do you know of any better mill cards? and if i cant do legacy what abt making this modern? i know jace will have to go for like memory adept
This looks like a fun deck but its no where near legacy. Mill is my favorite win condition but unfortunately it has a lot of problems and pure mill is not legacy competitive yet. I am really hoping that in the next set the Dimir will have some awesome mill card that makes it competitive but so far its not quite there. Mill has the problem that it doesn't effect the board and falls to aggro easily, it also fall to combo because it lacks disruption. Also mill has to worry about reshuffle effects and decks that actually want to fill their graveyard with cards. If you want to win by mill in legacy you will need to go with some type of combo deck. My 2 favorite combo mill decks are Painter's Servant / Grindstone combo and Helm of Obedience / Rest in Peace (or Leyline of the Void) Combo. Both decks can consistently and completely mill in 1 to 3 turns. This is about as close to a true legacy mill that I have came up with and its still lacking. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=416661 I think Riddlekeeper is the card you are looking for. I also recommend Propaganda and Surgical Extraction for mill decks. Propaganda provides much more protection than Fog Bank in the long run and its an enchantment so its harder to deal with. Hedron Crab can also do a lot of mill if you are running fetch lands or lands that can bounce them self like Oboro, Palace in the Clouds. Good luck with your deck! Mill is a lot of fun even if it isn't quite tournament quality yet. Bonus here are the 2 combo mill decks I spoke of.
