Deck Description

We all know how storm works. Play a lot of spells, draw some cards, then empty the warrens or grapeshot. ( Storm Broke) So since Thing in the Ice has finally bin available. I wanted to try it out in a deck. What better than storm that has nothing but 1 and 2 drop spells.

How to Play

OK did some changes. It went from storm to get your fatty out asap! lol

Deck discussion for Ice Storm

If you increase the number of thing in the Ice (3-4 copies), I feel like you wouldn't need a storm count as high as without an Awoken Horror.

What would I take out for it though?

Or in better words " How could I make this deck more around thing in the ice instead of storm?".

Well, if you want to use Thing as a main, with Storm as a secondary, do you really need Pyromancer Ascension? I know it's killer in pure Storm decks, but that's not what this really is. Think about it, Awoken Horror is a 7/8, that's 7 less spells needed for Grapeshot per attack, so you don't really need that much mana, etc? Or at very least, do you really need a full playset?

You appear to have removed the Storm all together. Not quite what I was getting at. The way it stands now, it looks closer to a tempo Prowess deck, just without the Prowess. Which way do you want to go? Storm or Prowess?

Anything to brake thing in the ice. I want that as my win but ways of protecting it too.

Ok, tempo it is (but not necessarily Prowess tempo). Will link you a TITI tempo idea later.

I've got two decks for you to look at. Firstly, my own brew to 'combo' TITI into flipping:
http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/oh-the-horror/
This one uses Vampire Hexmage to remove all Ice counters from TITI, then casting a spell to flip it. Earliest possible flip is turn 3.

Next is a list sent to me by a friend:
http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/titi-tempo/
This is the promised Tempo deck. I've got almost no experience with tempo, so I can't say much, but it's basically a faster version of a control deck using TITI as it's big gun.

Both are Dimir, and with my brew it's necessary, but with the Tempo one, I can see a lot of the black being replaced by red (Tasigur isn't that important as we want to concentrate on TITI), like burn replacing kill.
