Deck Description

I have been playing EDH/Commander for a few years now and have had a lot of different type of builds. From Aggro, Mill, Reanimator, Tribal, Pauper, Chaos, and more. My newest goal was to make a 'Theme Deck' or two. This one is an Aquatic life deck featuring Serpents, Krakens, Octopus, Leviathans, Jellyfish and even Merfolk! Black is more of a splash in this deck and kind of goes off track with the theme a bit. There needs to be a little bit of difference or the deck might be unplayable.

How to Play

Most of the creatures that you want out are 6+ Drops. This was a challenge, but after adding in some Land Search Artifacts, the deck became a lot more reliable. Another problem that I found was that a lot of the best creatures need your opponent to have at least 1 island in play to attack or even stay on the battlefield. I added cards that change land types and add Flood Counters to fix this. To balance the curve a little, I added some smaller support creatures and removal to get to the late game a bit safer. Overall fun deck to run!

I love EDH so very much. and this deck is pretty awesome i gata say, i like how you didn't go with what unoriginal players would do and just use mill with wrexial. yes there is a little mill but not a win condition. anyways, i don't know why you aren't running stormtide leviathan...also with wrexial having swampwalk use urborg, tomb of yawgmoth. just makes everything swamps. i know this is a theme based deck but dont knock out some really good black creatures that could make this deck better like erebos god of the dead...almost a staple in any black cuz it just plains says your opponents cant gain life so all the unblockable damage will really hurt. also crypt ghast will double your black mana making it easier to cast your big creatures sooner. even grave titan will fill up your field quickly. you also need the black search cards- beseech the queen, demonic tutor, diabolic revalation.

these are just suggestions! please dont think im trying to say your deck is not good enough, i just know a lot about EDH. and i think every EDH is worth my time.

Any suggestions help me! Thanks for taking the time in reading the deck list and respecting the theme!! :P I Had demonic tutor in the deck, but I took it out because I only own 2 and I am making another deck that needs it more. I have a stormtide that I have drawn a blank on and will be putting it in. I also lack an Urborg, but with M15 having it, I will definitely get one. The Erebos might slip in because of his usage and will almost never be a creature because of the lack of black perminants. However, Grave Titan and Crypt Ghast are too far off theme. I would run them if they had something to do with underwater.

I have never seen Beseech the Queen and might try to find one to put in. Thanks for the help!
