Deck Description

(UPDATE)
This deck hasn't been updated with new cards since 2018. Any newer card ideas are welcome!!

My current and everchanging Pauper Jund Threshold list. The idea came from losing to a list that was close to what I have. I was using Kuldotha Boros at the time, and seeing the opponent fill his graveyard through my sb hate and beating me down with Mongoose and Putrid Leech was inspiring. Funny enough, about a week later, there was multiple articles and videos about the deck from SCG and TCGPlayer. I am not sure if I helped the deck get mainstreamed, or just a coincidence. Regardless, I play this deck daily and change the list from time to time depending on how the meta looks.

How to Play

You usually want to spend the first 3 turns building up to the later stages of the game. A ton of the lands ETB Tapped, so cracking an Evolving Wilds or 2, and also playing a Ravnica 'Karoo Land' will make the list seem slow. By turn 3 is when things start rolling.
You want to hold Mongoose for when you are close to Threshold. Getting there is fairly easy with Evolving Wilds, Faithless Looting, Bolts, Terminates, Satyr Wayfinder, and the rare, but sometimes needed, discard to hand size after a T2 'Karoo Bounce' Land.
The Werebear can come down whenever because at his worst, he is a 1/1 dork for 2. His upside is amazing being a 4/4 dork that can block all day.
Disruption is scattered along the curve with Bolts, Terminates, Blightning, Stinkweed Imp in combat, and more in the Sideboard that I will get to later.
Putrid Leech may SEEM underwhelming, but his upside of becoming a 4/4 for 2 life at instant speed cause fun interactions in combat. It makes 4 toughness creatures scared and usually die seeing that most 4 toughness creatures are durdley.
The late game usually revolves around having a full graveyard with extra to delve away for a Gurmag Angler or a Hooting Mandrills. At one point, I had 3 Hoots and 2 Anglers. The numbers have changed and I am honestly considering cutting the final Hooting Mandrills due to the Trample and 4/4 being less relevant for its cost.
The 1 of Stinkweed Imp is mostly for the powerful graveyard filling it does. Also, being a hard to deal with flyer with pseudo Deathtouch is great on the board. However, most of the time he is just looped with Dredge, and discarded with a Faithless Looting. That, or chump blocks to kill a Flipped Delver and get it back later.
A final word of the main deck; The lands are very important, and the numbers are pretty solid. Yes, there are a lot of ETB Tapped lands, but being 3 colors and also needing a lot of cards in grave makes it needed. Having 4x Putrid Leech and the slowness the deck can have with some draws makes the high number of ETB Gain 1 Life lands important.

THE SIDEBOARD:
It is everchanging due to the meta and how I feel I need to be set for a league. I will break down this list I currently have and also talk about some other cards that use to be in, or that I consider running.
-Duress changes from 2-4 depending on how much control/combo I think I will see. Simple and effective discard, but not always T1.
-Electrickery ranges from 2-3 but is never not in the side. The swings it causes in games being sometimes a 3, 4, 5+ for 1R is amazing.
-Pyroblast ranges from 2-3 and is a must in the side for Blue decks. Doesn't really need explaining.
-Nihil Spellbomb is the newest card to be a regular in the side. While there isn't a ton of Graveyard based decks, you still need to be ready for a lot of matchups that use the grave to it's advantage. Even in just small amounts, nuking someones grave can be backbreaking. Happens to this deck all the time (Sad Face). The card draw off of it is a plus.
-Ancient Grudge comes in and out, but more often than not it is in the side as a 2 of. Solid Artifact hate that can be cast twice, or even just the once after it is discarded. Which is a big upside with the amount of discard and the likes in the list.
-Feed the Clan is a nod to Burn. Most of the time it is only gaining 5 life, which is fine. The ability to sometimes gain 10 is huge, and can win the game on its own sometimes.
-3rd Terminate in the side for other creature based decks that can be annoying. Opposing Gurmag Anglers can be an issue.
-Finally, the Pulse of Murasa ranges from 1-3, but is another must in my opinion. Returning a creature OR lands from the grave is great, as well as the 6 point life gain to boot! Can really change the game against hard hitting decks gaining 6 life and bringing back an Angler that was killed or discarded.
-Other cards that come in sometimes are Golgari Brownscale if there is a lot of burn or aggro running about. Doom Blade if there aren't a ton of Angler matters decks. 'Stone Rain' cards if Tron is popular. I have been noticing more as of late, so I might make a swap soon. More Bojuka Bogs in the side. There is 1 Main for the random 'got ya' main deck graveyard hate. It's also on color, which is a huge plus.

That's about it! Have any questions, feel free to ask!

Deck discussion for Jund Threshold (Pauper)

Just went 3-2 in a league. Lost to 4c Tron and a strange B/R Turbo Ulamog's Crusher/Dragon's Breath Reanimator deck. I kind of want to build that Reanimator deck now... As for wins: UBR Delver/Control 2-1, Mono Black Control 2-1, GR Stompy 2-0 (He had bad draws).

Deck is going to be in construction soon to remove the threshold for more of a jund midrange deck with some madness. The current meta is very harsh against my build.
