Golgari aggro/control hybrid. Suggestions welcome!EDIT (3/12/14): Made it to the front page! Thank you to all and I hope this deck leads you to victory!
Ramp mana to keep you board full of creatures while using spot removal to clear the way for some big swings. Reaper of the wilds will help sculpt your top deck where you want it to be as you blow out other creatures. You can see a great interaction with using the Lotleth Troll to discard your Boon Satyr, then with Varolz out scavenge it and get 4 counters for 3 mana plus the one from discarding it. Big swing with trample. For creatureless control matchups/enchantment heavy decks, pull in your golgari charms, pithing needles and some duresses to control your opponents hand to make sure you can drop your threats to the battlefield without any issues.Fade into Antiquity is in there to deal with Gods.Went 3-1 in the last FNM this was played in. Lost to another aggro deck after some bad draws.

Sideboard pithing needle?

Haven't needed it so far, but it's always a solid option to shut down some scarier cards. It's a good one to keep in mind based on your local store's metagame.
I went -2 charm and +2 needle though to still account for this since the power of the needle should not be understated :)
Since it can stop any planeswalker, deathrite shaman and aetherling? Yes.
Like the deck but with the highest creature being 4CMC is the ramp really required? Could maybe swap out the Elvish Mystic for something else, maybe Deathrites?
Deathrites add some more GY interaction for sure and this is also mainly due to what I currently have in my collection and to also make sure there's green mana open to fuel Scavenging Ooze. Can't tell you how many times that little guy saved a game because I was able to keep munching graveyards to always stay out of range of lethal. I will try to get a playset of the shamans and test it out though to see if there's a big difference.
Deathrite is ridiculously good. There's a reason it's banned in modern and seeing legacy play.
I agree Scavanging Ooze is a lifesaver at times so can't argue with your reasoning when you don't have access to Deathrites just yet :) The deck is very solid, personally I can not wait for JiN to come out so there are more Golgari toys to play with!
Tested with the Deathrites and I've had some more success!
They just provide so much utility! Glad you are having success :)
Maybe a couple devour flesh, at least in the sideboard, would be good for hexproof and pro-black creatures?
Yeah just added it. Been seeing more Blood Baron decks so it's a good one to have
I like it. I have been playing golgari for a little whole now. I would main the second whip, it helps a ton with counteracting the life loss from thoughtseize. I would also throw in some desecration demon. I really like it. +1 from me!
