Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

After a discussion with a friend of mine I made it my mission to create a mono green control deck, and this is the outcome.

If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know in the comment section.

How to Play

Plow Under + Stunted Growth to bury mana.

Painter's Servant + Lifeforce for an almost infinite counter spell.

You can continuously cast Constant Mists by sacrificing land than play a Reap to fish it all back.

Deck discussion for Mono-Green Control

I like it!
Painters Servant + Lifeforce = hilarious
Seems slow on the finish without some ability to play lots of lands...maybe Fastbond would help?

Finally a deck to my liking (not going the usual routes likal tribal or block mechanics) :)
Some recommodations:

1) Your deck is slow and needs more defense for the early game, otherwise any weenie based and most midrange decks will run you over. I would exchange some of the Arbor Elves and Elvish Mystics with a mix of Wall of Roots and Overgrown Battlement. The latter works well with Seedborn Muse, the former is probably better on it's own.

2) Recollect and Reclaim aren't exactly the best choices for what you try to do. First, maximize your Eternal Witnesses to 4 before adding any Recollect. Revive is one mana cheaper than Recollect and can get the same things back (with the exception of the Servant). And, talking of the Servant, you could fo through the roof if you included REAP! If you do, max out the Painters to 4.

3) Since you are playing control I would replace the Tranquil Thickets with more productive non-basics. If you can't afford Wastelands I recommend a mix of Dustbowl, Thawing Glaciers (go well with Seedborn Muse!) and Treetop Village.

4) Whirling Dervish would be a nice thing to include either sideboard or main because it goes so well with your Servant strategy. However, there is really no room and I am unsure if they are worth replacing the Dungrove Elder.

Thanks for the advice! I'll totally add the Overgrown Battlement.
