The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Pretty crazy and fun deck- welcome to Zooicide! Don't worry about the huge amount of damage you do to yourself, because they will be dead far before you are... I say that, you win where mostly they could kill you next turn but that doesn't matter, because you still win! Zoo-icide uses the life as an extra resource to give you 19 points of advantage over your opponent whilst using that to present too many threats from too many angles to deal with.
If your meta is burn, this is probably not the deck to take, although SB may fix that, I would consider 3 Feed the Clan taking out the 3 Death's Shadow in that match up but I need to fix up a SB

This deck is also an aim to bring attention to the Rugby World Cup which is currently being played, whatever country you're from, there is someone to get behind, whether its the formidable New Zealand All Blacks or the Japanese Lotus flowers!

How to Play

Perform the Haka (Mauri War Dance) and do Sonny Bill-Williams, Dan Carter and Richie McCaw proud. Also punch them hard. Real hard.

Deck discussion for The All Black's Haka!

love deaths shadow, and it can be quite good if you can stabilize under ten life

Death's Shadow us at his best in the angels grace, unlike, necropotence type decks. But he is ok here aswell.

I'm sure, but a 1 mana 5/5 cuts the mustard when you are turning it sideways!

Really like this deck!! My one question is, why 4 Bloodstained Mire & 2 Wooded Foothills, when the latter can fetch all 6 of the deck's lands, & the former only 4? By the way, I'm glad to see you continuing to be active on this site...you're one of the contributors here who always brings something to the table. +1.

To be perfectly honest, money, I already own 4 bloodstained Mire but own 0 wooded foothills right now, My personal view on Zooicide, is that as long as you have 10-12 fetches around your colours, you're golden. Also thank you, its going to be sporadic but I'll try and put stuff up!

I don't actually think Goyf would be awesome, it is a tad slow, I want them dead turn 3 and Goyf doesn't really do that

Nice deck Gothy. I guess my question is are you consistently able to get enough cards into your graveyard to make your delve cards castable? I think I would drop the Hooting Mandrils for another Thoughtseize and a Death's Shadow for another land (possibly), but other than that this deck looks pretty solid. +1 like.

Surprisingly I am, although on average I cast 1 per game, usually become immense

Love the deck Gothy! Maybe it's because it's been on my mind but I can't help to wonder how Zada would play in here as a one of in place of Hooting Mandrills . Probably too slow and not required but a turn 4 resolve and then a mutagenic trigger could be the extra deciding factor. Would definitely make for a few WTF moments from opp. LOL

Hex Parasite could advance the speed of Death's Shadow's P/T - see, you don't have to pay X. Just keep using and abusing the Phyrexian Mana, and paying those 2 life 'endlessly' ^_^

Fetches, shocks, git probes, thoughtseize, street wraiths and mutagenic growth are almost always enough considering you'll still have an opponent to deal with. Hex parasite being a 1/1 for 1 that brings your life total down speeds up death shadow, but slows down the rest of the deck. It costs a mana and will make you think before you let a shock come in untapped. You might also pay a green for mutagenic growth instead of two life because you're too low from your own card. If you don't use it because you can't/don't want to pay the life then that's 1 more slot that could be something better.

Pretty sweet deck. I noticed no sideboard though. I'd have to suggest all the usual sideboard stuff - graveyard hate, artifact/enchantment hate, spot removal. Based on your jund-heavy colors, I'd suggest nihil spellbomb or relic of progenitus for graveyard hate, wear//tear or smash to smithereens for artifact/enchantment hate, dismember or roast for spot removal, and maybe dragon's claw or burrenton forge-tender for some life gain since I think burn might be able to outrace you since you're dealing so much damage to yourself. +1!

Looks like unadulterated brewing fun! Bet you had a blast putting this together. Kudos.

Not sure I would have the balls to play it anywhere outside the kitchen table as I tend to shy away from decks that get killed by a Vapor Snag. :)

If you can fit Plunge into Darkness mainboard, it acts as either instant speed Death's Shadow buff, or emergency life gain. Replacing itself with one of X cards is also a pretty nifty benefit :)

Kird Ape maybe?

Kird ape is sometimes ran in the deck, but it's more of the player's preference. Makes the deck more like Zoo but still has the death's shadow/kill self tactic. I think the difference is more on if you'd rather play lands or have lands. Steppe Lynx is usually pretty explosive playing and cracking a fetch but kird ape is more consistant. All in all I like Steppe lynx to end games quicker. A deck that kills itself doesn't normally do too great in longer games.

Hey Gothy! Hope you're still roaming around the vault. If so, I could really use your help on this new deck, as you're one of the few modern, non-budget deck builders around the vault =)

Why? You should never get to turn 5, and if you do you want to be casting combo kill instants that turn
