All fair comments but the main reason behind the Sphinx is it Scrys more, but you are definatly right about reaper, I have to find a place for him, I'll probably take out thoughtseize. At my local Ashiok isn't doing enough to be good when she gets max 1 activation but thats just because of the amount of answers to Planeswalkers in Norwich! Syncopate is a weak counterspell in my opinion due to U/W and esper having so much mana that it becomes a pretty useless card when I need it to be good, Dimir charm gives me a lot of options and has surprsed me at how good it is and Doom Blade is just awesome in my opinion. The Rift is a nice idea and I wanted to put it in but I was struggling with space! After adding the reapers I'll test it and if the cards you say work better I'll pop them in and drop you a thank you comment! Thanks for the comment!

Slaughter games deals with more than gods, especially against U/W control. Slaughter games can come in practically every game to deal with the threat but fade hits limited targets especially against aggro.

You might want to cut the gods, they aren't particular strong when they will never be creatures, the Thassa there is certainly an arguement for, but you could have another detention sphere instead of Heliod!
