Definately, I will! Thanks for all the knowledgable feedback.
i havnt actually played this deck, i have about half the cards for it IRL. I seriously think it could do some major pwning in a tournament though. Thanks for bringing up noxious revival, i hadnt really thought about it for this deck, but with so much synergy, how could a deck like this not want to use it hehe.
Judge's Familiar is quite powerful, but its better in a control deck that wants to counter everything, or in a combo deck that wants to counter their combo disruption. Im not totally sure that it fits here. maybe in the side board for trinisphere type cards? how would you fit it in?
Levitation is a 4 mana enchantment that would only effect 8 other cards in the deck (assuming i took your advice and put in 4 powerful creatures). Also, reducing the number of sqaudron hawks below 4 greatly reduces it's power level and stormscape familiar is the card that turns this deck into an overwhelming threat so early. I don't think i would cut any of either of those cards, and levitation is just too slow for this deck (i know ive got tamiyo, but she will refill my hand twice during the mid-late game which is when draw is necessary to keep this aggressive deck from running out of steam).
Thanks for the links, they do seem very fast and focused. This deck was originally a build around cosi's trickster and evolved into an exiley controlish deck that utilizes mill and results in super efficient creatures.
Well zealous persecutions is a great boost for my tokens while removing many of the format's best tempo creatures and yeah, its good in the mirror.
electrolyze or thirst in main or ouphe, sewing salt, or back to mature in SB. also maybe try raging ravine over rootbound crag
you should consider evacuation or side board it at the least. All your creatures have ETB effects and you can lay them all back down very quickly with aether vial. Its huge advantage for you, almost like a one sided board wipe plus re-trigger ETB effects. Also, i would run a fourth cryptic command, 22 lands with only four fetches is going to leave you with plenty of mana for bigger spells like that.
Yes, i like that idea! Treasure hunt turn 2, reveal 20 lands and draw a zombie infestation, play it turn 3, discard 20 lands for 10 2/2 zombies and swing for game turn 4. Seismic assault is another card ive considered, but i would have to remodel the deck because of the mana cost. Thank you for the recommendation.
Sundial of the infinite works in a similar way to torpor orb here. Once your creature enters the battlefield, its tiggered ability goes on the stack, then activate sundial's ability to end the turn (removing all spells and abilities from the stack before they resolve). This is not as good as torpor orb in that it costs 1 to activate. It is better in the fact that it can counter abrupt decays by ending the turn while its on the stack. Its good in instant speed control matchups. Basically it serves as torpor orbs copy number 5-8.
i love this deck, It feels very smooth. The winter orb is the only card that is not modern legal though. Azorious charm might be better on the scepter than perilous research. Also silence is worth putting on the scepter. The single obelisk seems odd but i can't name a reason why not to run it.
i would drop arbor elves for a birds and a kird ape personally. also drop manamorphose and bring helix in from the sideboard. drop a boros charm for a lightning bolt. Just little adjustments that would make it faster. Spark trooper is a good sideboard option in aggro matchups. Maybe skullcrack in the sideboard to prevent lifegain. I would run some combo and artifact hate in the sideboard like torpor orb, thorn of amethyst, and smash to smitherines. Another fast card to consider is loam lion, its basically more kird apes
Sideboard = ALL THE ARTIFACT DESTRUCTION lol
