Deck Description

Heavy on counters / Permanent returns to control the game.

This deck is made out of cards that I have, so don\'t suggest force of wills or things like that.

Best combo is Isochron / Boomerang to return opponents lands to their hand. I\'ve played it multiple times where I lock my opponent at 2 lands.

I think I should switch out the cancels for rune snags, but I don\'t have any.

Suggestions are welcome.

Deck discussion for Mono Blue Control

Delay might be good in the Cancel spot too. Teferi makes it as good as a counter-spell. Evacuation might be good if you can get them but they are rares. Chalice of the Void might be good, but again it's rare.

Defense Grid might be a nice addition, since you're dipping into Mirrodin Block.

Defense Grid will horrifically rape your counterspells, plus it will make you pay the extra mana to play the spell copy from the scepter. I'd advise against it. Delay is good, but if you never get a teferi it's not quite good enough as a counter. Running a Gigadrowse or so might be a goodi dea, as it's a really nice card to lock them down for a winning turn. And yes, Evacuation is good, and though it is a rare it shouldn't be too hard to get, likely easier to get the 9th edition version.

Freed from the real could replace flood. The casting is higher but it's more versatile
