Spark Trooper works great with Supreme Verdict. And while its true that Vexing Devil is almost never what you'd rather he be (creature or burn) tying that with Verdict can help make him more of what I want at the time than not. Truefire Paladin is both my aggro hold off and late game mana dump for extra damage. I have won a few games by swinging with Spark Trooper and then bouncing him back on top of my library to do it again next turn.
