Deck Description

With much advice, i have determined there are two directions i can go with this deck, there is already a really good version of an equipment based one drop deck, might update it with toolcraft exemplars or Sigarda's Aid. Thought of good sinergy with Sigarda's aid and Aether Vial. Drop a critter during opponents attack, drop an equipment and attach for free and block. Let the chaos ensue. I think i like the artifact central deck better alot more sinergies.

This is a gimmicky one drop deck enchantment based, it will run quick and likely burn out, but that is why there are build up gimmicks built in. really like Limited resources to hose my opponents by playing on turn one and the group i play in has 5 players that would hose land counts and limit 2 per person and allowing this deck to shine. Creature control options are in sideboard, while nice people at my table get hostile at those spells, when I cast them. There is both creature control and mass creature control, built in... ran out of space for more enchantments. But there are some.

Deck discussion for One Drops

I would have stayed with humans but had anthem effects to pump or more skullclamps. Where's your board wipes in case you have to reset?

thanks, this is a gimicky 1 drop deck, i run board sweap in a lot of deck and the closest it comes is loyal sentry and valor made real. drop the loyal sentry with aether vial as a fast effect to surprise. this is for casual table top. plus there is so much board wipe already at the table i do not need to worry.

Hey there: I love where your head is at on this.

I have a series of what I called "One Mana Decks" (six decks, one for every color and colorless, and they all can run with one land on the field). I can tell you from experience: 24 lands is wa-a-ay too many.

Seriously, my six decks run anywhere from 12 to 20 lands (depending on the deck).

For comparison/inspiration here is my One Mana White:

Enjoy your deck!

I understand why you might run fewer lands, however if i can not get the student of warfare and figures ramped quick enough there is not enough in this deck to maintain a competative edge. my experience in the past with 20 lands is getting to 5 is a chore and often does not happen with a quick deck like this. But thanks. also with daily regimen extra mana not a bad thing. same with flickering ward and for defense dropping the defense with aether vial and then mana for defensive spells. it may not look mana intensive but it will be. in my non professional, non educated opinion.

Also with more many you can progress figure of destiny through more levels if you drop him as a fast effect.

He's a fun card, no doubt!

In my own deck he was just too slow and mana hungry to be effective. He costs 11 mana for his big form (all told) and six lands out (at least). For that much land I would rather have double strikers and/or fliers swinging for 6-10 damage by turn three.

I used to run Daily Regimen as well but it was such a mana sink that I couldn't move from creature to creature it usually turned out to be a waste of mana.

I do still run Student of Warfare thought because after dropping him for one he only takes 2 and becomes a 3/3 First Strike which fits perfectly with the first strike/deathtouch theme of my deck. Mid to Late game (if there is one) I can toss more mana at him and make him the beefy double striker.

Again, to each there own and every deck is different. I had found that in my own casual games with my friends (one of whom favors an annoyingly fast Goblin deck) Figure of Destiny etc. was just too slow and too vulnerable at the end of the day, but if you make him work: rock on!

I do see the point with Double Strikers and and fliers. You have many good synergies in your deck.

I think that adding something that gives a creature indestructible until end of turn would be worthwhile, as it would give another combo to the deck: Goldenglow Moth + The “makes it indestructible” card + Valor Made Real = tons of lifegain, maybe add that.

interesting take on white one drops. :)
although I am not sure how much skullclamp does for you here.
I do like your use of spirit link, over lifelink since you can place it on your opponent's creatures and gain life from them. lol... :)
I also really like Loyal Sentry used with Valor Made Real.

Might I suggest some removal as well? Rerhaps Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile? premium white removal.

that being said, if one drop decks tickle your fancy, I have a list of them here if anyone is interested. no, they are not all mine, nor even the VAST majority, so I am not looking for clicks. I like sharing these cool decks.
